before him. I am very proud of this and as a writer with 3 books published, 1 poetry, 2 novels, I write a lot of my poetry from my youthful memories of Grandfather and Uncle who were elders, sitting around the fires and "seeing visions" of things to come and watching them "listen to the spirits of the elders long gone" on the western KS breeze in the cool of many spring, summer, and fall evenings. I remember Grandfather saying to me, "Son, listen to the voices of long ago and you will have much wisdom". Thank you Grandfather, for I still listen to these voices. |
