Extremely generic comments like "Interesting site" and a link to a web site that has nothing whatsoever to do with either fanfiction or anime are usually the giveaways. If you don't have a fannish personal site, be sure to make it clear in your comment that you've actually *read* something on my site--whether you think it's good, bad, or indifferent, I don't care, as long as I can tell that you've read it. (It's not *that* hard to post a specific comment, is it?) My apologies for being a bitch about this, but I loathe Internet advertising at the best of times. I'm NOT having it in my guestbook.
