Dear Jakko,
I bought your CD, "The Bruised Romantic Glee Club", last year from your site. It is such a powerful, emotional, and fantastic CD. Maybe one of the best I've ever heard in my life. At 52 yrs. old, there are very few CDs that can touch me the way that your CD dos. When I listen to "When We Go Home", "Highgate Hill", "Forgiving", "No One Left To Lie To", and just about every song on this most heartfelt CD, it resonates a very deep chord in me. The song regarding your mom makes me cry, as it is so pure and all heart. I wish to God that your music would find a larger audience, as it is I think some of the most beautiful, well-played, brilliantly arranged (both song-wise and instrumentally) and written music anywhere on this planet. I saw the 21st Century Schizoid Band at the Key Club in LA. I flew in from Denver, CO to see this awesome collection of world-class musicians playing from their respective hearts. I got to meet you all afterwards when you guys were signing the Japanese 2002 DVD. I just want to say to you that I pray that you can find a way to release your outstanding music. If you have to do it by yourself, with some distribution help, that would be a way to go. Looking at what Robert did with DGM, it would be perhaps an idea that could help you too. I am friends with Trevor "Gypsy" Jones of Jonesy fame and he and I discuss these issues all the time. Jonesy is about to release new material after years and years. Gary Green of Gentle Giant fame has put a new group together called "Rentle Giant" and they have played one show in England so far. Music that is progressive and forward-thinking is always going to have a place somewhere in this world. The Tangent is incredible as well!! Still, your music is some of the most beautiful and deep music that I have ever heard in my life. I had a heart transplant in April 2007, and I listened to your CD over and over again. It gave me hope Jakko. God be with you and your beautiful family.

Really bad news about ...Glee Club. I just hope anyone who hasn't had the opportunity to hear this wonderful album get the chance soon. In the meantime, glad to hear that you'll be joining The Tangent at the Summer's End festival in September. Any chance of you doing a solo slot (either with or without a band) as well?

HI there. Not sure if this is the best way to get a message to you, but here goes anyway. I just read in your blog about the problems with the Glee Club album. I couldn't understand why it suddenly seemed to have disappeared from stores like Amazon, and why it never seemed to have made the shops. Anyway, the bits I've heard on Myspace etc. sound great, so please don't give up on it - good music is at a premium these days, so if you can think of a way of getting it out there, please go for it.

I have become an admirer of Jakko's work on his new album and also with the Schizoid band, but I have a question with respect to another side project, the Crimson Jazz Trio which I hope is not insensitive at this time following so soon, comparitively speaking, the passing of Ian Wallace. I read on Jakko's blog that he and Mel Collins were putting the finishing touches on their contributions to Vol.2., but then of course the sad passing of Ian Wallace occurred. My question from a selfish fans point of view is whether there is any liklihood of Vol.2 still being released at some stage in the future. Please forgive me for what could be seen as a callous enquiry, but I'm sure there are so many enthusiasts, of which I am one, who would love for that project to be realised at some time in the future . It would no doubt be a fitting memorial to such a wonderful musician, if I may be so presumptuous to say so. I would be grateful for any information at all. Many thanks.

Thanks so much for the song "Forgiving", which I encountered first on the DGM website. Let me add my name to the list which includes Fripp himself; I think your work is stunning.
Any lyrics (specifically to "Forgiving") posted on the web? ...And apparently Pat Metheny isn't the only one who's upset about the increasing difficulty of making something known as an "album" in an iTunes universe. What is your opinion of "The Way Up"? Kind Regards, Kevin Morrissey anneandkevin@insightbb.com

Just wanted to tell you that I read a post of yours not long ago and it explained that " nobody buys a ticket to see the 21 st century Skitzoid Band to see you ! After listening to " Live In Italy " as well as NY City and the first cd ...I can honestly say that the band would not ...could not exsist without your high quality guitar skills and vocal skills and I suspect production and arranging skills! You really impress me and thanks for the great music ! Regards, James

Hi, just to say the Glee Club album is one of the best I've heard for several years. As a long time lover of all things Canterbury/Crimson/Zappa etc it's great to hear such fresh and exciting music. And to listen to old favourites re-interpreted so successfully is an added bonus. I've always hoped a "Canturbury supergroup" (similar, for example to the Muffin Men) would emerge sometime to play/improvise around the great songs of the Softs, Henry Cow, Caravan, etc - you've managed it on record, any chance of seeing such a band live?? No doubt there are many financial and logistical barriers to such a project, but if it's ever to be done now would seem to be a good time (Gong, Hatfields, Soft Machine Legacy etc gigs seem to do well lately). Anyway, thanks for a great album and I very much look forward to the next one! Cheers, Martin.

Hi, I got Bruised Romantic Glee Club this week.
It 's outstanding. Not only the superb playing of Mel Collins but also your guitar lines and singing. Especially the title track and islands are my favourites. I'm glad that there still some more people around who grew up with music of Soft Machine, Henry Cow nad King Crimson. It is a record deserving wider recognition.

Got the new album today and I've just listened to the first disk. What can I say - fantastic! Been a Jakko fan for... ye Gods, its fast approaching 25 years! The time between releases has often felt like an eternity but every time something has finally snuck its way out its always been well worth the wait. And this collection could well be the best yet - that voice... that guitar... it all takes me back to when I was a spotty teenager trying to figure out which remix of I Can't Stand the Pressure I preferred. And talking of which, can we have that absolute gem of a B-side Living on the Edge in your upcoming live shows? Great to have you back Jakko and thanks for a wonderful album!

"The Bruised Romantic Glee Club" is certainly the best album I have heard this year...and I've heard a lot. There is not a weak track on either cd and I will be listening to this masterpiece over and over for a very long time. Then when I do put it away, it won't be for long. It is as full of soul and power as Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?". What more can I say? You've really done it, Jakko, and I hope you become more known in the southern US where I live. Thank you! Wonderful news! a new album!!! Listened to all the clips and can't wait to get by grubby little hands on it. A double album...bloodyhell! Now I don't know if this is the place, but ...now, here's some questions.
1. How does one purchase you new album? Will it be made available through this website? Living in Canada makes it unlikely to be easily obtained at my local record emporium. Will it be available through "The Artist Shop" in North America? 2. Will "Who's Fooling Who?" ever be released on a CD? This is one of my all time favorite pieces of 6" vinyl, but my copy is rather worn out after several decades of wear and tear. I've always wonderd why it was not included on your "Are My Ears on Wrong?" compilation? 3. Now this is the tricky one (it's a two parter)...Your great pal Dave Stewart has also been promising a new CD for around 15 years. Last I heard it was in the mixing stage, but that was 2003, for pitty's sake. So my question is... have you been involved with any the long (very) awaited material, over the years? Secondly, have you any idea if Dave is ever going to release the ruddy thing? Now if you could only persuade him to put up a blog like the excellent one on this websits, these questions might be redundant!! Anyway... Good Luck with this long antisipated CD. I have the cash and am eager to give it to you. PS.If you ever tour North America again, please consider Toronto (Like New York City if it were in Switzerland!). Brian

This is my own (pathetic) attempt at writing a story about the home page:
Autumn chills the air: she whispers 'still' as I think 'move'. The day trippers are drifting back home: parents to work, children to school. The season is coming to an end as her body tumbles away from me, blown by the breeze across the foreshore. Will I chase the wind? Away on the distant pier, a tired neon sign crackles and a solitary radio plays: 'And the bruised romantic glee club comes to town.' In that sad moment I know, and my life changes. I'm sure you can do better than that! Neil

I'm glad to hear that you almost done your new album.
It was a long way to here since your last solo album. But I really believe in your music being very good one. I was happy to see you at RFH last year when VdGG reunion.
