I calll it a message because it was so much more than a sermon/preaching. Personally, it moved me. I grew up in Clarkston, MI in the United Methodist church. I was pretty active there, chior, Orf Instruments, Aterboy, Lay reader in later years and ultimatly President of the Flint area Methodist Youth Group. I got away from God and lived a 'second life', to borrow a phrase. After getting married, I was looking for another church to attend to strengthen my relationship with God. Being so involved with my 'home' church, it was pretty tough to find another place to call home. Riverview blew me away, as did your message. We attended again this past week with Rev. While visiting, I quickly decided to sign your guestbook. While reading it, I found entrees from a cousin and a couple of friends from my youth group who were at Velocity. Unfortunately, I can't express to the magnitude of how complete your sessions were. It is like God used you to direct your message to us each in a different way. I am 15, and an active Christian in the Calvary Evengelical Youth group, In Van Wert, Oh. Where we live, a pastor like you is unthought of. (I was thinking about what our church would say if you showed up and started preaching. The look I imagine on some of the older peoples faces is hilarious!) I was also at Taylor (Extreme 2002) last year; however, the sessions this year hit me harder. I felt so much more into your lessons at Velocity. They were on topics that related to me as a high schooler. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I thank God every day because you are a pastor and speaker who can relate to the things teens struggle with. I especcially liked the fact that you used movies and music to get your lessons accross to us. I am also praying that God will place you at church camp next year and that perhaps some day, when I am an adult, our paths will cross again. for Him, Adam Ries
