Comments:Hi there! I have an Primera SRI 1.6 1996 model, Nissan Blue/green colour.

I have had several cars and models during my time, and the Primera I regard as a very sporty and lively car. Perhaps a bit "dull" on the outside, but very nice bucket seats in front.

I would like to know more about typical flaws and repair problems to look out for.

Good stuff on Primera's/G20's... Just wanted to let you know about www.primeracarclub.co.nz We have a huge amount of info on primeras if your wanting any extra info.... did you know that both the p10 and p11 shapes came out with a 4 wheel drive option too... hehe, over here in NZ there are more and more of them being turboed (usually with the GTIR engines). Come take a look and post on the forum and say hi. My nick is Crackerjack.

Nice one

Comments:Hi Neil,

I came across your site when searching for info regarding tuning primera gt's. I own one just like the one you have (had) - same colour as well! I like the sound of the chip tuning. Can you advise where I might get this done (I live in N London) or buy the necessary parts? If its not that involved, I might give it a go myself.

It looks like you've had some fun racing in your time. I've had a day learning some rally moves at Silverstone Rally school and spent a day at Coombe Castle in Bristol, karting (I came second out of about 26! was well chuffed) and watching the big boys on the race circuit. It gave me a real buzz and would love one day to own my own racing car.

In the meantime I am enjoying driving the gt and really want to squeaze some extra performance out of it. Any info re the above you can give me re the above or any other tuning tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Neil.

Comments:Hi there
I am in New Zealand and own a 1992 Nissan Primera (SR20DE), and it is gunmetal grey (most of them seem to be!). When I bought it, it had an Aero kit with a Nismo lip and honeycomb grill. I haven't done alot to it except lowered (KYB/Saber shocks and springs) it onto 17" Advanti Penta's, K&N filter, strut brace, took the catalyst convertor out, turbo muffler and 3" tip, combat wing (which looks quite good) tinted windows and the usual stuff we put inside - Momo steering wheel, pedals etc.
It is really really difficult to find anywhere that knows a hell of a lot about these cars, so finding this web site is awesome. I haven't been to all the links yet, but am working my way through it!
It is even hard to find kits. I asked a place up in Hamilton if they had any kits for Primera's and they quoted a standard phoo kit! How'z that?!

Anyways, awesome site!
Gillie
