| Comments: | My grandmother (Marie Kristine Hansen) was married to Anders Martinus Christensen, and he was son of Thomine Marie Larsen which was a sister to Niels Larsen.
Anders Martinus Christensen was the last person in Niels Larsen´s family who owned “Hegnhuset” until he died in 1955, and his wife Marie Kristine Hansen my grandmother lived in Hegnhuset a couple of years after that. Anders Martinus is born the 19. Juli 1893 in Hegnhuset and he was married in December 1925 to Marie Kristine. My father Tage Emil Hansen was born in Hegnhuset 15. april 1925, before they was married, and Anders Martinus is not my real grandfather but stebgrandfather. Anders Martinus was farmer and he took over Hegnhuset in 1916 and in 1917 he bought 2½ ager of land. Anders Martinus and Marie Kristine had 10 children in Hegnhuset my father and his big brother was came together with there mother Marie Kristine, but Anders Martinus and Marie Kristine got also children together borend ind Hegnhuset.. Jens Tekgo Michael Christensen, 9. november 1926,. Magrethe Thomine Marie Christensen, 13. juli 1930. Jens Peter Martinus Christensen 13. Juli 1930,. | Comments: | My mother's family is called Kunst and my Mormor still lives at Lukas Plads in Aarhus,my moster on Chr. Warumsgade. My mother met my father whilst he was playing cricket for his college c. 1960. in Aarhus. My Morfar,Preben Kunst, was President of the English Speaking Union and a keen umpire. He is buried in Ormslev graveyard!
I changed my surname to Larsen from Ries, as I feel 100% Danish and that was my Mormor's family name from Silkeborg....her grandfather was sea captain. Anyway, great site. very evocative and inspiring. We have it so easy,don't we? I went to live in the USA and I found it very competitive and hard,eventually divorcing and coming back to england.
