Pink Anderson was a founding father of the Blues and was a kingpin in the Piedmont and Carolina Blues scenes. His influence cannot be overstated. My friend, Freddie Vanderford - who learned harp from Peg Leg Sam, a crony of Pink's - came to perform with Little Pink for the students in my Blues History course at USC. I found this site through looking through pink floyd facts ie Pink Anderson and Floyd Council who they got there name from i have never heard a pink anderson song or floyd council song but will be going to check the music shops out to see what i can find on them . I never really thought about where the name come from untill recently . I believe syd barrett got there names from a record cover so am going to hunt that album down for my collection now am going back to read up on pink andersons life RIP Pink . | |
