Although I am not a musician, I grew up in Memphis. At that time 60's, 70's, there were blues concerts every weekend and we heard all the wonderful (or as we would say BUCK JUMPIN) music all the time. Howlin Wolf's voice was the center of that attraction. The movie Cadillac Records provided a small insight into these very talented Black Musician at a time when America had not reached it's current level of growth.

Hi Mister Howlin' Wolf! I'm 28 years old and I'm learning to play the blues harp. I've recently become a fan of your music when I heard your music on Youtube. I've started to learn to play the harmonica last 2 years ago. You got style, man. Even though you're in the spirit realm, please guide me so I can be a great blues harpist. Cheers to you!

Hi, Howlin' Wolf fans... I was the Wolf 's good friend, music student and chosen photographer...
visit ** www.howlingwolfphotos.com ** You'll be glad to see THE iconic photos I took of legendary blues giant Howlin' Wolf (Chester Burnett) - - my good friend, mentor and blues harp teacher. Read the moving story of our special connection. There's MUCH more, too! I also played drums for Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup, Mance Lispcomb and Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. Took harp lessons from Sonny and Paul Oscher too. Now hoping to have a good working band produce stuff I originally wrote upon Wolf's request but he didn't get to hear in time Wolf's multi-dimensional talents and power as well as his creative foresight in and tight band leadership to expand Delta blues to something incorporating texmexneojazzrock at times was uniquely amazing. There's pics of him at home, in concert and RARE portraits as well as those of Hubert Sumlin (seen here) and other band members. Email me to discuss the mighty Wolf/ blues or post here. Best to all, Howlin' Sandy
