Hound Dog was what you would call fun. His raw renditions of the Blues was sizzling. I would have loved to have been able to sit in on one of his sessions in a Chicago Bar.

first saw hound dog at Washington Hall, University of Notre Dame in 1973ish. There were about 30 or so students and we passed a bottle of wine inbetween songs. We were all toasted, no security, it was pretty cool. Brewer Phillips kept trying to one up hound dog with his guitar riffs and Hound dog was getting a little pissed. It was an unbelievable time.
