i visited new zealand last oct. mainly the south island but i was with this group visiting several nationalparkcenters etc. across the south island incl. mountain cook. The the manager director at heritage, mountain cook told me he hunted with pointing dogs on the northern island. i surfed the net and found your page, very nice, i am a 50 year old lawyer but very devoted the german shorthaired pointers i have had 5 in the past, two competing on high trial levels, and was on the national team, we have competions mainly in highlands after wild grouses, and we compete against every race, its always jolly good to beat the setters and english pointers, my first norwegian german pointer had some german blood from the von osterberg kennel in germany, and if i couldnt find him in the forrest he came back to pick me up i learnt more about hunting from this dog than i taught him, he was a field ch. before the age of 3, and was a trippel ch. my two dogs now are grandsons from own kind of breeding, and are both highly prices from field competions, they have enormous hunting desire and can run and hunt for hours with out any pause, next time i go to nz i think i will contact u and see your dogs in action, i was there also as a student in 1983, then i travelled for 3 months arround your beutiful country, its quite beutiful here too, its funny so far away and yet and many ways so simular, i wish u the best and u have a nice homepage. yours sincerly mr. per lykke |

She belonged to my ex hubby who got her somewhere in the south island but I'm not sure where. Since being back in the US have gotten another female puppy. With Hall of Fame pedigree. I prefer the darker GSP's. Hunters here like the white. Want to start breeding here with my puppy. Really enjoyed your site. |

Lovely website. I had a beautiful liver sported GSP named Flinte and miss her so much. Our newfoundland is aging rapidly and I think another GSP would be the best choice for her 'replacement' - easy to groom ,enough energy to go on the longest runs with me and velvet ears - perfection on a plate. | Comments: | I too had a beautiful gsp called Ruby who died unexpectedly at 3yrs old just over a year ago. She had a wonderful loving, faithful and exuberant nature with a real love of water.
It's taken a while, and I have looked at other gun dog breeds , but they are a super dog to own. I think it's a time for another one - Your pics are very impressive |

| Comments: | My husband and our 2 kids are looking at buying a GSP, everthing says they would fit our home, hunting and retrieving for dad and playful child friendly for the kids, exercise for mum. But... a friend of ours has tryed to put us off saying they're high strung, jumpy and hard to train, i'd like to think this isn't true.
