Your Comments:Great site! Welcome home all and thank you for your service. Served with great Texans in Danang 65-66. Floyd Tucker BM3 and Ronald McKinney SN USNR. Mother Tucker (as we knew him) and I emptied a few "33"s together before we got seperated. Ron, on the other hand, was a fellow that I never got to know before he was killed in a accident aboard a Merchant ship we were working together. I was the Ol'Salt on the job at the ripe old age of 20. As for Ron, he was only 18, when he died. I'm sure if the good Lord meant it to be I would have gotten to know Ron as well as Floyd. Rarely does a day go by I don't think of him and Ol' Mother Tucker. It's a great day when a city slicker from the Bronx NYC gets befriended by a Texan! God Bless America! Bless them both and may Ron rest in peace. Mike Walsh BM3 USN - Cargo Handling Battalion Two Danang NSA Tien Sha

Your Comments:Greetings and Welcome Home. I am the National Director of a non profit group called the Order of The Silver Rose. We are primarily into encouraging all Nam Vets to receive yearly full physicals to help stop the appalling amount of deaths Nam Vets are suffering from now. Unfortunately very few are aware of these dangers or the fact that the VA recognizes 43 cancers and sicknesses as AO related and eligible for compensation. We also offer a gratis Medal and Award to all Agent Orange victims living or to the families of the deceased. You will see a application on our website . I notice most of the really up to date websites on your Agent Orange site are no longer worker. We would be happy to help you and all Vets. We have awarded over 3,100 Silver Rose awards to these Heroes and would be Honored to help any that you are aware of. This is a real medal and award , I am sure your group will be proud to award. If you have questions visit our website again at http://silverrose.info or call me Gary Chenett 810-714-2748 Vietnam 67/68 The Big Red One 1st/4th Cav, I am also a 3 time AO cancer survivor. Take care , I hope to hear from any of you we can help.

Your Comments:Hello, I must say that my heart got stuck in my throat when I found this sight...and I do not believe it is a coincidence..I was meant to find it. My father was Everett Albert WYATT Jr Sergeant First Class HHD, 1ST SIGNAL BRIGADE, USARV. He was killed in Viet Nam Feb 1968, when I was 1 1/2. I never got to know him, even though growing up and up to this day I still feel his presence. First of all thank you about writing the wonderful things you do. I would like to know more about my father to be able to pass it on to my daughter, who is 5 now and never will know her grandfather. So, if anyone reads this and knew him or knows of him I would greatly appreciate any "stories" or comments you may have. God Bless You all & thank You Renata

Your Comments:On your home page you have this "just in case no one has welcomed you home-welcome home". Nearly 35 years ago, I came home after 364 days, 11 hrs and 21 minutes in country. I just knew my country, even though we had the likes of Jane Fonda, breathing the air we so desperately missed, would welcome me home. Well I, along with allot of others, still await that. A good friend of mine (another Vietnam Vet) passed away. I read some remarks someone at work had written in a "goodbye book" his family had put on a community desk. In it was written the following "even though your country never welcomed you home, rest assured our God will". I guess that pretty much sums it up. Nice site and God bless you for it. Your Comments:Unfortunately, I'm not a Veteran, and - to be honest - I am somewhat ashamed that i'm not. I'm 33 years old, and I am considering joining the Reserves, at least, so long as "W" gets re-elected (I could not serve with kerry the traitor as Commander-in-Chief). I have several good friends who served in Afghanistan and I called them last saturday (oct. 8th) to congratulate them when the elections went off without a hitch - that's what it's all about. My father immigrated to the U.S. from Estonia (a small Baltic country of just under 2 million people and one of our Allies in Operation Iraqi Freedom) in 1943 after both the Russians, first, then the Nazis, second, had invaded and occupied his Homeland. He's 81 now, and we have frequent political and history discussions. He appreciates much more than most the Veterans of Korea and Vietnam because he experienced the horrors of communism first hand. I really do love you guys, like brothers; I try not to take the everyday joys of life for granted because i understand the sacrifices behind them. After all, who knows what the world would be like today if we didn't put boots on the ground in Vietnam? Weren't Laos and Cambodia essentially back doors into India? Sorry for taking up so much space. I am currently volunteering to help promote a new singer, his name is Donovan Chapman (www.donovanchapman.com) , he's a PJ who served in Afghanistan and his current single "Hey Hollywood" criticizes the self-righteous hollywood actors; he just needs some help to get airplay on radio stations. Please email me if you would like me to send a CD with the single and maybe some t-shirts. Thanks for your sacrifices and thanks to the families of those who didn't make it home. - Joe Martin

Your Comments:Hello, I often wonder what became of childhood friends and Bobby Tucker comes to mind often. I heard recently that someone thought he had been killed in Viet Nam. I have search the web and the Bobby Tucker that sounds the most like the one I knew was the one listed on your site. I was thinking, after reading his middle name, that the name "Dan" sounded familiarly like it could have been his fathers name. Not sure at all and don't know what Bobby's middle name was and for that matter whether or not his first name was actually "Robert" and not "Bobby". The birth date sounds right only too the extent that we were in high school togeather and I too was born in "47". I'm trying to determine if your listing is my friend. I hope not but if so I want to know. Bobby's father was stationed at Schilling Air Force Base in Salina, Kansas, in 1965. Schilling closed down then and he was relocated to I know not where. Bobby went to Salina High School. He had an older brother and possibly other siblings but I do not recall. Bobby had a sandy type complexion with light colored straight hair. If you know who tyhe family is and where I might be able to get in touch them, whether they be the family of the right Bobby Tucker or not could you please help me get in touch with them. Sincerely, Dennis Wallace of Salina, Kansas 67401.

Your Comments:Dear SPC Gutierrez, Please, by all means, use the poem with our best wishes. We would be most honored to have it read for Veterans Day and most especially to our brothers and sisters serving in Iraq. Those of us who served in Vietnam had hoped that our war would be the last, but I guess that is the wish of every soldier in every war, that theirs would be the last. But it never seems to be that way. There always seems to be a time and a place where soldiers must make a sacrifice so that freedom may reign in the world. Please pass on to your fellow soldiers, in all branches, and all grades, that we are "very, very proud of you all," and that our hearts and prayers are with you and that we hope for a swift end to this conflict and that all of you may return home safe and sound. Rest assured that every veteran alive today is with you both in heart and spirit, most especially on this Veterans Day.
