| Comments: | I had always heard of the Breakfast Club. I had heard a millions of references towards it in other movies. Always saying that John Hughes had created the ultimate teen high school drama of the 80s, 90s or any other era. Then in the 2005 MTV I saw them honouring the Breakfast Club with an award saying that they started whole teen movie genre with their 'brat pack' movie.
Last week I watched the Breakfast Club for the first time ever. I have to say that all you guys were right. It is the ultimate high school movie. It does make you laugh, cry, think and feel. Makes you admire your memories of youth in the eighties and early nineties even more. Its hard to pick a favourite character since they are all so cool, but I think that Allison is my favourite. And that final line from Brian's letter as Bender walks over the football field with all of them expressing who they are as mr. vernon sees them and Bender throwing his fist into the air with Brian saying "sincerly yours, the Breakfast Club" that was awesome. Have to admit, I love this movie and think it'll stand for all time as the mother of all teen dramas. BREAKFAST CLUB LIVES FOR EVER!!!!!!!!! RULEZ |
