| Comments: | Me and my wife went KK last weekend ( Sept 7-9, 2002). Your website info is very useful. My wife get a bit altitude sickness, but we still managed to the summit. It was cloudy then and on the way down it was rainy.
Update to the info on your page, the State Museum do need entrance fee! Also, no picture inside the national museum exhibits. There is a counter that you can left your backpack ( like what we did) at no extra charge. People are very firendly all the way. |

上山前我有服用預防高山症的藥Diamox，但這個藥在台灣是買不到的，得到醫院掛號有處方箋才能拿到。 我們的行程是坐馬航一大早台灣起飛的班機，中午抵達KK再專車接我們上神山，但因為不清楚狀況所以住到禪園。住禪園的壞處是離神山公園還有一段距離約十五分鐘路況不佳的車程，所以只能請禪園派車載我們去神山公園，二人索價RM50元，超貴！ 所以要爬神山的記得訂神山公園內的住宿就好，既便宜又方便，千萬不要住禪園！！ 第二天開始爬神山，Laban Rata Resthouse是在台灣自己透過網路訂的，很方便。一大早至神山公園辦入山及嚮導，爬五個小時到達住宿點。第三天很順利的攻頂看到日出，超好的天氣令人心曠神怡。 下山的隔天我們還至Padas河泛舟，也是很特別的旅程，要坐蠻久的火車才至泛舟的地點，蠻驚險刺激的！ 不過拖著不聽使喚的雙腿再從事如此激烈的活動，大概只能用”精力過盛”來形容吧：D 有機會的話希望我也能把這次的旅行詳細的作個網頁，因為台灣至沙巴多半是跟旅行團較多，像我們自己自由行的資訊實在很少。事前在這個網頁也找尋到不少的資料，也希望自己能將經驗記下來，提供給台灣的年輕朋友想爬神山的參考。 |

Hi Peter, 兩天是標準行程 (我的亦一樣)。 高山反應有機會在 Laban Rata Resthouse 的一夜發生，可能有頭痛、食慾不振等徵狀，但大部分人休息一晚便回復正常，不用太擔心。 1) 六月應該 okay，但其實神山任何時候都有可能下大雨，尤其是午後的幾小時。 2) 基本上神山上的天氣是：(a) 約攝氏零度; (b) 大風; and (c) 隨時會下雨，衣著應針對以上這幾點。有 Gore-tex 當然好，但神山的環境也未至於非 Gore-tex 不可，好一點的風褸亦可接受。另外保暖手套、帽和行山竹也會很有用，對登山鞋的要求反而要高。 3) 如果你現在已可確定行程，建議盡可能預早 book，可嘗試聯絡 Kinabalu Nature Resorts，在我網頁的 "行程、資料" 部分可找到他們的網址。 4) 藥有一種，叫 Diamox，屈臣氏有售，三蚊粒。記緊到達前廿四小時開始服用，不過其實我覺得登神山未必一定要服藥，因為只需在高海拔停留一晚。我在神山也有高山反應，第二天登頂時已沒有太大不適。我在另一個網頁 http://himalaya.hk.st/ 中有一篇有關高山症的詳細分析和我自己的個人經驗，有興趣可到“資料庫”部分看看“不合理的大尿”一文。不過我覺得登神山較登珠峰基地營那段路得到高山症的危險小很多，無需太擔心。 5) 在公園總部登記時他們會為你們安排，不用擔心。 6) 噢！我不是專家呀！ - 第一天不要太勇走得太快，去到 Laban Rata Resthouse 要多休息和多飲水，最緊要是如登頂時高山反應仍然強烈便不要逞強登頂了。 - 要特別小心濕滑的山路，我便幾乎闖出大禍。 - 在你未知適合自己速度前，高海拔登山不要急，起步時宜先放慢一點，覺得無問題再慢慢加快。切忌急走，走的時候你的喘氣是還未到的，喘氣後感覺會很辛苦，要頗長時間才可回氣。 - 有上過鳳凰山嗎？我覺得登神山的難度較登鳳凰山稍高，不過加上了一個高海拔的因素。 我之前在留言薄的回覆也許對你有用： http://books.dreambook.com/olddreamer/kinabalu.html 最後預祝你登山成功和旅途愉快！ ----------- Dear Webmaster, We are planning to trek KK this month (Jun 23 to 24), I wonder if 2 days are approriate for the trek, since altitude sickness cold happen if climbers go up the hills fast. | Comments: | 山區天氣變化很大,只差1日就可以完全不同, 登山時碰見下山的人, 也說山頂很冷(3-4度)很大風. 我們看日出那天天氣不錯,天朗氣清, 沿途完全不用開頭燈, 單靠月光也可以看清楚路和周圍山峰, 還看到流星呢. 山上差不多沒有風, 所以4.5-7度也不覺太冷, 一路上只穿一件天蠶衣保暖內衣加一件Mountain Hardware恤衫也OK, 只是近山頂時起了風,要穿上Goretex風褸, 太陽一出又變得很暖和了. 四年前第一次也是在差不多日子時間上山, 但當時天氣就比較差, 又大風又大霧, 穿了羽絨衣還覺得好冷. |

| Comments: | 因為神山最近成了"世界遺產", 現在多加RM5, 你可以多拿一張更加精美的"世界遺產証書", 記得問問Guide.
Poring 除了溫泉, 也可以森林遠足, 其中一條來回共7km 的Jungle/waterfall walk, 是登神山前一次很好的熱身, 行程上落不算大, 又有美花美瀑看. 路線盡頭是50m 高的Langanan Waterfalls (magnificient!!), 同行有一對澳洲來的夫婦, 走到筋疲力盡,但在看見到瀑布後, 也說走了這麼遠都值得. 不過千萬要注意的是, 森林內又濕又熱,要小心脫水(多飲水); 小心地滑; 如果剛下過雨, 要小心沿雨水由樹上滑下來的吸血leech, 要戴帽及穿長袖衫長褲. 由KK去神山公園, 如果你是6-10個人一起去,你可以在 KK市中心的Jalan Tengku Abdul Rahman大街的巴士總站附近包一架小巴,司機很多是華人,懂國語,甚至廣東話, 告訴司機你的行程後再講價, 並要約好回程時如何接你. 自已包一架車, 預時間時就可以自由些, 不用受公共巴士時間表限制, 行程安排也可以豐富些. 上面我提議的去神山前先行森林探瀑布的行程, 其實頗緊迫, 而且又要先停公園HQ check-in再去Porling, 如果不是包車,恐怕不可能. |

| Comments: | 我在月也剛到過沙巴登神山及徒潛, 這是我第二次了四年前去過不過那次天氣不大好, 今次就一流, 天清而沒刮風,一路上都是開得燦爛的杜鵑和蘭花. 今次因太遲訂山上住宿,結果只住到沒有暖氣的Gunting Lagadan Hut, 不過Gunting Lagadan Hut因較高, 景觀更"正", 又自成一角, 和可以煮食. 日落時山下雲海像火燒一般紅. 山上留宿的設施似乎比四年前去時好了一點. 晚上約7-9度, 我沒帶睡袋, 只穿了厚襪,牛仔褲,保暖內衣+厚恤衫, 蓋上屋內提供的睡袋, 基本上都已夠暖, 大屋(Laban Rata Hut)那邊有暖氣, 應該還會暖一些. 不過在正常情況下, 要自己帶備夠暖的睡袋比較好.
現在登神山, 每人會派一張登山證(膠卡, 都幾靚, 印上你的名字和Serial No.), 入閘後(Timpohom Gate)沿途都要掛在頸上, 隨時給管理員檢查. 不過我一路上都沒人查過,只是第二天零晨登頂看日出時中途有個check point, 要查証登記好才可繼績上山, 下山時又要再登記一次,以確保上了山的人都已安全地下了來, 並即時用無線對講機call你的名字回總部. |

You reminded me of those good old days some ten years ago. I've been there too and the photos you take are really great. There are two things to remind the ready to go fans: 1. Hiking to the top is strenuous and the air is thin at the top so it would be better to be well-prepared beforehand. There is a hugh difference in the temperature between sea-level and the peak of Mountain Kinabalu. Above all, treat the mountain with respect and don't go when there will be thunderstorm. 2. Don't forget to look around the National Park at the buttom of the mountain with the largest flower and the smallest orchid in the world and the experience of exploring the tropical rainforest. Don't miss it!!! |

| Comments: | 我剛到過沙巴及古晉, 由於怕腳痛故在神山公園等待上山的朋友下來, 公園的 trial及山園亦很值得看, 到boring hot spring時記得到tropical garden 去走走, 好運的話會見到野朱,鹿等, 到bat cave時要小心吸血虫, 牠會使你流血不止(因我已中招),要用煙絲或salt 止血, 部份溫泉是24小時開放的, 但要摸黑進行有些怕人, 香港已可致電或fax等訂公園房間, 沒有房間亦可住 hostle, 很便宜, 古晉人很好, 的士司機叫我呼籲香港人到古晉玩, 在沙巴的原住居民, 土生華人及混血兒男子, 有很多都很靚仔及有陽光氣息, 又好人又純品, 亦不見有人地中海, 在gayana island有一個肥仔是鄭秀文fans, 他叫我通知鄭秀文到gayana island 去玩時他會免費做她的escort, 有誰人認識鄭秀雯, 請代我通知她. 但潛水時要小心gayana island 的水母, 但會使你創傷及傷口出水 (因我又中招), 文華hotel不是不好, 但在梯間放滿床玉, 走火不好. |

Hi, Firstly, thank you for visiting my site and wish you a happy new year! Feb should not necessarily be bad time to climb Mount Kinabalu. In fact, if you look at my trip memo, you will notice that I was standing on the top of the mountain in a Feb morning roughly two years before your schedule. Raining or even lightning can hit the mountain anyday in a year. It all depands on your luck. In general, raining almost always occur in the afternoon. I don't think that hiking there is very dangerous (although I got wounded when I was descending). Lower portion of the trail is quite slippery. So be cautious when hiking. The trail below Ugly Sister Peak requires holding a rope to climb. But following the instruction of your guide should be ok. Finally, there is a chance of suffering from altitude sickness at Laban Rata Resthouse. However, the danger is not so high compared to other high altitude trekking such as in Nepal. The most important precaution are don't go up if you feel sick, and go down immediately if you feel very sick. To me, the trail was quite demanding. It will be better to train up yourself before you go if you are not an experienced hiker. Trekking poles would help and enough clothing is necessary (about 0 degree + wind at the top). Wish you an enjoyable trip and climb up successfully. 多謝光臨我的網頁和你的誇獎。我覺得沙巴是很有人情味的地方，登 山只要量力而為即可，不用太擔心。有關你的問題： (1) 一般行程是從山下辦事處計算兩天來回； (2) 我花了大約三小時登頂； (3) 中間有段路要拿繩攀岩和走在狹窄石罅上，但有 guide 帶著不 會太危險 (見我的第三日行程)； (4) 找腳夫可在山下辦事處跟你的 guide 商量，我們是 RM6/kg； (5) 多少水因人而異，山上可以補給食水； (6) 山頂若零度，wind stopper + Gore-tex 風褸應足夠了； (7) Guide 是公園分派的，我們的 guide 叫 Steven G.，我覺得幾 好，你可以問問辦事處可不可以提定找他； (8) 不用打防疫針； (9) 沙巴 D 人好好，我相信萬一 touch wood 你中途感體力不支或 不適, guide 一定會盡力幫你的。 我未到過汶萊及古晉，請恕我沒有相關資料。另有我的詳細行程、資 料在 "行程、其他資料、相關網頁"部分，希望對你有幫助。 最後祝你旅途愉快，登山成功。 |

多謝光臨我的網頁。 我也很喜歡夜觀星象，曾參加過一些太空館和天文團體舉辦的天文活 動和講座。可是我並沒有正式天文愛好者邊看星邊做筆記的耐性和恆 心，只是覺得星空很美，宇宙很偉大。 言歸正傳，神山山頂是很大風的，天氣變幻莫測，但大致上每天早上 九、十時開始便被雲霧掩蓋，凌晨時份較大機會有清天。我晚上登頂 時可看到遠方 Kota Kinabalu 的城市燈光，但因距離很遠，應不構 成光害。 神山的旱季正常應在三、四月，但山區天氣任何時候都可以有雲下 雨，不過你打算逗留一星期我想也不會咁黑仔日日雨。三個月之中八 月較佳，九月開始較多雨。 晚上神山山頂氣溫會降至零度上下，最高留宿點 Laban Rata Resthouse 日夜氣溫則約在幾度至十幾度之間。 無錯，是一定要訂好山上住宿才可登山。注意山頂是沒有住宿的，似 乎也不大可能架好望遠鏡夜晚在山頂觀星（guide 未必肯，但無 guide 不能登山，山頂天氣也可能太凍太大風，還有揹望遠鏡登頂都 幾難攪），較可能是在 Laban Rata Resthouse 外的空地架望遠鏡， 但有半邊天睇唔到。 住多幾晚我估可以，但可能這幾日要照請 guide。在山上時我每天 用 200 港元以內，但留長些我不知 guide fee 點計，你可試試 mail 比 Kinabalu Gold Resort 問，URL 可在我網頁內的“行程資 料”部份找到。我二月時坐港龍的直航來回約 2,700。 |

1) 十二月神山可能較多雨，但其實意義不大，因熱帶山區任何時候 都可以下雨，尤其是午後。我估全年山頂氣溫的變化也不大，大概是 零至十度左右吧。 2) 連走鳳凰及大東二山對我來說己很不簡單了，體力和行山經驗應 足可應付登神山，唯須留意山路濕滑和有遇上大雨的準備，在高海拔 因缺氧行山也不要過急。 3) 很多人三千米左右開始已有高山反應了。登頂那天因快上快落， 要注意的反而是登上 Laban Rata 的那一夜。我在另一個旅遊網頁 http://himalaya.hk.st/ 中有一篇有關高山症的詳細分析和我自己 的個人經驗，有興趣可到“資料庫”部分看看“不合理的大尿”一 文。 4) 以我所知是不能的。出發前兩天我曾嘗試到 Kinabalu Gold Resort 的網站預訂，但石沈大海，沒有回音（也可能是離出發時間 太短）。建議你再試試，URL 可在“行程資料”中找到。 5) 這個我可沒有留意，只知跟香港一樣 220V, 50Hz，我最近到了一 次吉隆坡，住的酒店是三腳扁頭的 (13amp)。你可試試到 http://travel.to/hk.rec.travel 或 Netvigator, Travelnet 等網 站找找。 |

| Comments: | 嗯，西貢？初次行山可以試試從吹風坳沿麥理浩徑行到赤徑再返回北潭路，路唔難行，不過都幾長，預多
些時間和帶備足夠水。神山游繩而上那段 mud 鞋都頂唔順，除非鞋底有吸盤啦！不過唔駛擔心，依照 guide 的指示就可以上到。 |

House了”， 嘩！好勁呀!!! 幾時出下集呀，記得通知聲呀。除了神山、秘魯、黃山外，還有沒有到過其他 地方行山？尼泊爾？巴基斯坦？坦桑尼亞？我也到過黃山和秘魯，其中秘魯行色匆匆，錯過很多地方，下 次去也想試試行山，只是不知能否應付得來。 |
