Comments:Still haven't heard fromm Cusson from ?GlaceBay? how about Duham, Climie, or White, all were BN. Sigs 1st & 3rd PPCLI, '51, '52, '53. remember Xmas '52 when McDonald CW managed to bring in a %&#%* of good scotch booze from his uncle in Scotland, we had jeeps from the Yanks and Aussies coming up to buy or trade for it, and we told Capt. Elliot that they were all so impressed with our Sigs setup that they wanted to see it first hand! I'm sure that Mac and I think it was "Poncho" Clarke , ended up with a *&%$# pot full of money from that effort!! anyone recall this? Feel free to e/m me anytime. Comments:had an e-mail today from jim milton of the canadian korean war vets, he suggested i check this page, which i am going to do. i am a navy veter (usn) of ww2 and the korean war. i am interested in finding an y veterans that have any info on the scottish middlesex regiment that we brought out of inchon and transported to hong kong so they could go into dien ben phu, which the french were pulling out of, which later became the viet nam war.

Comments:Nice website. Is there a database of Canadian and British personnel who served in Korea War? There are many, including Canadians, inquiring on the Korean War Project - http://www.koreanwar.org/index1.html - about communicating/locating their friends, relatives who served with other UN Forces in Korea. I was Light machine gunner G. 19th Inf. Regt. Arrived Pusan, Korea from Beppu, Japan 4 July 50. Did 2 additional tours in Korea, plus Viet Nam and two in Europe. I beleive Pricess Pat's Canadian Light Infantry was attached to the 24th I.D. during late 1950 and early 51.

Comments:My uncle Peter C Isaak "Ike" was with the 57th independent Field Squadron (RCE) in Korea in 1950/51(?). We have little information and are trying to rebuild his service record. He also served in WWII, was a paratropper, and was also with the UN (RCE) in Egypt in 1955. He died in an industrial accident in the Yukon in 1962. Intersted in any information or leads. Comments:Hello all KVA members: As I continue with my research on the Korean War for the upcoming educational documentary on the KW, I sometimes come across other participants that mentions "those brave Canucks" they fought with etc. Would anybody know a Lt.Carl F Bernard from Love Company, 21st Infantry (he was sent over in Task Force Smith) or a Roger "Rog" Baker - tank loader and eventually gunner with 3rd Platoon, Able Company, 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division? Comments: I served in the U.S. Marine Corps from July 1, 1952 through June 30, 1955 (enlisted on my 18th birthday). I arived in Korea in early December, 1953 so while I received the Korean Service Medal and UN Medal I didn't actually get there until after the shooting was over. I have visited Canada a number of times (my widfe lived thefre for several years before we were married in 1972). I've read a number of books on the conflict, and have a great respect for the contributions made by the Canadian forces there. Comments:What can we say its just great. Keep up the good work sending our young people the message of Veterans who served their country.No matter what service you served in. There is much to remember. Foremost are the people, men and women who served whereever they were needed. They all faced difficult situations bravely and brought honour to themselves, to their loved ones and there country, They were ordinary Canadians who made extraordinary sacrifices. Korea is still at war to this day as a peace treaty has never been signed the longest war in history. Remeber the Peacekeepers of today in many lands they carry on the fight for FREEDOM. GOD BLESS. Comments:I was first posted to 2PPCLI and most of the Cpl's and above had been in Korea and some involve with Kapyong. Wally Mills was my first Coy Commander. I started the CAVUNP and was the President for 9 years. I had many dealing with the KVA and they are indeed a great group of Vets. I now live in Yorkshire England, in Oct 1999 I met Bill Toes in Scabourgh when he represented your assn at the British KVA gathering , where they opened a museum for the Korean Vets at Camp Eden. You have a super page here and i intend to visit often as I recognize many of the people in the guest book. And thank you for visiting the CAVUNP Calgary Chapter home page. I met many of your members when I was back last fall for the CPSM medal presentation and talked over old times. I now parade with the British Legion and wear the CAVUNP uniform and lay and represent the peacekeeping vets and my friends in the KVA Keep up the good work Cheers Rod
