| Comments: | It's pretty cool that you did this project. I've been thinking about doing one for years but never have been able to get all the ideas together into code. At the moment, I'm starting on a 2D version of the game - very simplistic. Mouse use or controls will be configurable. Monsters will be from a DB. And if all goes well, I'm hoping to institute some form of multiplayer.

| Comments: | Yeah, I know I should update this damned game, but I don't want to waste too much time on it. I started this game engine thingy 3 years ago as a school project. Back then I had plenty of time, but now I have a fulltime job. When I come home these days I don't really fancy hardcore coding anymore, I rather mess around with my synthz and modules. Be my guest if you'd like to take over the project and continue the game. All that needs to be done, is continue the gameplay. Most of the features I originally planned are implemented in the engine. The game (even the maps) are completely written with ascii-files (in the "script" -subdir). I would be willing to help if anybody needs any info on game-development with GDERPG (that's the stupid name I gave the engine). Unfortunatly I don't really fancy writing tutorials, reference docs and all that... I might still do a few music-tunes... |
