half hour reading through the guestbook entries and I can't believe how many names I recognised! I attended OLM in 1973/74.(Sr Rosie was my homeroom teacher and the names that spring to mind are Grace Pope, Michelle, Carol, Gloria, Monica, Athena, Lance, Eduardo, Miguel - I wish I could remember more.) I came from Scotland with my sister Valerie. I'm sure nobody could understand our accent and I certainly was a bit overwhelmed by the whole American school system which was very different to the Scots Presbyterian one I was used to but I treasure the memories and would love to hear from anyone who attended OLM around that time. I now live in Melbourne, Australia, am married to an Italian/Australian and have two Aussie children. Thank you OLM for such a memorable year. |

guestbooks -- gone from the class of '98 to the class of 2002 to here. Doubtlessly, it's been worth the internet sweat. Just to remember OLM for the 3 months I attended back in 1980 is to bring tears to my eyes -- and not just because I recall the dust-mite library and halitosis-and- "xule" gym, either. The best part is saying a long-lost howdy to Inger of Norway (never forgot you) and Eduardo and bro' Carlos of Galicia. fame, was on the first team to beat EA in basketball! I hear from Daniel Khone, Bruce Johns and Mike Gunn but have lost contact with everyone else. Just had my 27th wedding celebration, have two kids in college and live in Boulder, Colorado. Got my MS in economics, University of Arizona and I work as a digetal dashboard software analyst. travel around the world and do some serious explorations. founded h.s.newspaper OLMANAC as Editor-in-chief with Mary Louise Smith as Co-Editor-in-chief and our class did it all. DOES THE OLMANAC STILL EXIST???someone let me know, please. God Bless Sister Bertha; our home room teacher wherever she may be. Padvaiskas, Sweed, Montgomery, Lena, Zoran, Ze Roberto, Eddy Boltje, Ingeborg, Mario, Sonia, Shirley, Carol, were all an important part of "starting-up" the OLMANAC high school newspaper; and an important part of my life and times at OLM. What good days those were. If I had my choice to do it all over again I would choose OLM over EA anyday, my father went to EA when he was of schooling age. OLM is concentrates more on the individual student as opposed to EA's mass education. LET'S HEAR IT FOR OLM !!! I DID HOWEVER END UP GOING TO COLLEGE ANYWAY; I ONLY NEEDED 3.5 CREDITS FOR MY H.S. DIPLOMA;,SO MY 1st SEMESTER COUNTED TOWARDS MY H.S. DIPLOMA. SO NOW I HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE. ANYBODY OUT THERE? |
