| Comments: | Hello again!! I'm two more chapters away from finishing the Just Between series and OH MY GOD. I'm dying here. You have my crying, laughing, shouting at my computer, etc. It's just not fair. I seriously can't with this series and I wish there was a pdf version of the whole thing I can save!! I'm dying to know what Seven's fantasy was during Love & Hate though. I can only imagine sigh~ And I honestly would have died if you had ended Life & Death with that goodbye kiss. I mean yes I wouldn't have to wait til the next update, but still! Knowing my luck the internet would've crashes or an asteroid crashing to earth before I find out what happens!!! Jeez! But yeah I need to keep on reading. I'm looking forward to Millennium. TO THE ENDING! |

| Comments: | Hello!
The Call went out and I wanted to add my sincerest hope for better days ahead. I often use a line from one of my fav movies - The Fifth Element, that "...it never rains everyday..." when I was going through a bad spell. It sounds like that 'rain' has been feeling like a monsoon. But anyone whose helped a loved one through a debilitating disease like Alzheimer's, has more strength than they realize. Believe that. I also understand what you went through when you talked about your Mother. I watched my Grandfather wither away from Alzheimer's Disease. He used to own a cab company -- the 1st black-owned cab company, in a place called Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Obviously we had to sell it when he became too sick. Nevertheless, it broke my heart when he'd occasionally skip out thinking he's going to work, only to find him shuffling along in his PJs towards what used to be his offices. It was hard, it was brutal, and I think a part of you remains wounded like an echo long after -- and he had other family to help out. My heart went out to you when I read your experience, knowing you had too small a support system. Anyways, I don't know you well, but when I read your Post, it suddenly became very important for me to let you know you're not truly alone, and that so many people are pullin' for you. Take care of you, move to warmer climates, recover on a beach, adopt a pet, or write; do WHATEVER needs doin' to find your way back to 'you' and know we're all patiently waiting. Sincerely, Nichole (blackgrl71) |

| Comments: | Dearest Gina,
I have read your stories and books over and over and over again over all these years. You will always be my favorite author and the person I turn to when I need a boost. I have also thought about you so often. After I saw you in LA in, what, 2000?, things went immediately wonky for us. We bought a house, then suffered a great deal of hardship and loss pretty much back-to-back for many years. But when you lost your mom, my heart went out to you. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you to care for her. I should have sent you my words of gratitude and love many times and I am sorry I haven't done so. Your writing has been a constant companion to me through all the hardships and honestly, I don't know what I would have done without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Gina. Please do keep writing and I only hope for the best for you. Many blessings in the future. Much love, Jennifer Shepard |

| Comments: | Your stories have brought much joy to my wife and I - and the Just Between and Millenium series are some of the best J7 writing out there. Well laid out story lines, excellent characterization, and nice depth in the secondary characters. And great spelling & grammar too! (I was raised with "the King's English" and my wife used to be a newspaper editor - so that's sayin' something.)
You, more than most, seem to have truly caught the underlying character and emotional landscape of these two charismatic women and translated that into a truly lovely lesbian love story. Thank you for your work. The Bad Girls stories are great too! We also bought, and have enjoyed, the "Sparks" books. I was sorry to hear you were having such a hard time and am glad to see you are feeling a bit better. We wish you all the best going forward. |

| Comments: | Gina,
I don't remember how I found your writing, and it really isn't important at this point. I do remember sitting down and reading the Just Between stories while (finally) watching Voyager from beginning to end in late 2006. I kept looking at the screen and wondering why the actors weren't doing what you'd written! You managed to capture a more pure version of the characters than we saw via our televisions, and your adventures always had me on the edge of my seat. I cannot tell you how many mornings I've been sleepy at work because I wanted to make it to the end of one of your stories. I have them on my computer and my ebook reader for those days when I remember a scene and want to revisit the ships. I've shared your stories with friends, and can't remember if I ever thanked you, so I'm doing it now. Thank You. I found your writing at a time when nothing was going right in my world, and it provided a much needed escape from reality. I hope your tomorrows are brighter than your yesterdays. Many thanks for the countless hours of reading pleasure. Tricey |

I've been keeping up with everything you have going on between postings on two yahoo groups. I was going to write you next week and donate when I read this: "Yesterday morning when I posted that update, I felt as low as I ever felt in my life. Nothing lay before me but darkness. I went to work and then, when I came home and turned on my computer, checking my email, I was overwhelmed by the response. I've always known I've had the best readers... no, the best friends in the world. People reached out with such kindness and such caring. They helped me at a time when I need it most, and never expected. I'm ashamed to admit that when I updated, I honestly thought that there weren't that many who would even read it after so long. But I was completely and happily wrong." I was thinking, "Are you kidding?" We're all waiting anxiously for the next installment. We want to know what happens. There are so many story details left open and we all wonder where you are going to take us. I am glad that I have the new link because I was worried when I couldn't reach your original site. I have the stories saved to my computer so I can take them with me, but I want more. I am glad that things are looking a little better for you. |

| Comments: | Hello Gina. I found your site totally by accident! What a find! My brother was a big Star Trek fan. I hated it. Now I am half way thru the J/7 JB series and I started a week ago. My wife/partner is so amazed with me because I never read. But now that I am retired I have to find something to keep me occupied while she is at work. I used to work for the Postal Service so I used to listen to books on tape all the time. So on the week end my Lynda is going to read out loud for me. Boy am I looking forward to that! Please Gina, don't stop writing. |

It's a relief and a joy to find a J7 series written with intelligence, style and a clear understanding of the characters. | Comments: | I just wanted to express my great appreciation for your talents and these stories. When Voyager was on TV, I never watched an episode and quite frankly I've never delved into this genre. However, I read an Omega13 J/7 story and was so blown away I had to find more. Not really wanting to waste my time on "bad fanfic" I asked her for some recommendations and she pointed me toward your site. Since then, I've been totally addicted. However, the addiction has been a very pleasant one - except when I'm at work, then it gets kinda troublesome.
Your stories have really endeared these characters to me. Now that I find myself nearing the end of your Millenium series, I'm a bit sad. I hope you continue to write and if by chance you get inspired to continue with J/7, I would not complain. Thanks again and here's to hoping that the Captain and the Borg will have more adventures together. |

| Comments: | Hello Ms. Dartt,
I've been roaming around trying to find a way to comment on your stories and finally came across this. I understand its probably going to be public view but I don't care. I'm a recent J/7 follower, been going on for a fair number of years yet still a newbie, and found myself stumbled across your site. After reading some of your One Shots, I decided to try and tackle the series starting with the JB Series. At first I was a little hesitant because I was so used to to the "one-time-thing" stories that I figured and entire series would be too overwhelming. Boy was I slapped in the face by my own stupidity. I found the JB Series to be so extremely written, that after one "episode" I quickly jumped to the next, forgetting the need to wait a night and allow anticipation to grow as I would if it were a television broadcast. I began to become so involved with it that I didn't think twice about sleep and remained awake with nothing coffee and a story to keep me awake all night, which eventually led to that habit happening more than once. I've made it a goal of mine to read as much J/7 as possible this summer, whenever I have the time, and I'm happy to say that your stories are the only ones I've read so far. I'm currently reading your Millenium Series and, just as before, remaining enthralled and invigorating. This take on Janeway's and Seven's life has been one I shall never forget. You are an outstanding writer. I am honored to have read your work. Each story brings its own uniqueness, and all I can say is that they are all page turners. Thank You! You are profound and I could not have enjoyed this summer without your masterpieces! Best Wishes to you! -Promise |

| Comments: | Dear Gina,
Can't believe that I have not read or heard about your J/7 alt fictions till now. Your stories are terrific, fantastically detailed and vividly imagined. I especially love the sense of humor you consistently brought out of the Janeway character. I'm working slowly through the Just Between series right now, but have read some of the the one-offs stories. Out of those I thought you have done particularly well on the Someone to Watch Over Her story and the Timeless Passages. Both were successful because of the convincing characterizations of Seven and Janeway. The "Someone" story is a far more believable beginning to the relationship between Janeway and Seven, in my opinion, given the Borg's interpersonal skills level or her "humanity" development level at the time of both stories. Seven might be able to figure out her interests and desires to court Janeway, so it was quite possible to either for her to say to Janeway that she wished to date her, or showed up naked in Janeway's bed. The initial reactions of Janeway, however, was more convincing in the "Someone" story, as well as the reactions of Seven about love making. Unfortunately there were still some scenes in both stories where Seven's behaviors seemed too mature and sleek considered her actual experience level at that time. The Timeless Passages story is one of the best J/7 fem slash stories I have ever read. The outstanding premise of having an older and wiser Captain Hansen confronting both Admiral and Captain Janeway about the moral issues of Borg genocide really is what should have happened in the end. The characterizations of each main characters rang true to any Voyager Trekkies who have followed the series faithfully. The line "You always could convince me to do things even when I couldn't convince myself." uttered by the dejected Admiral Janeway was one of the best lines to ever describe the Janeway/Seven relationship succinctly. Your work is so great. I wonder if you are interested in writing more J/7 stories in the future. Also, I am not familiar with publishing laws regarding fan fictions. Will you be able to collect all your J/7 stories into a volume (well, in your case, several volumes) for publishing or self-publishing? I work for a publishing company (college textbook) and know some high quality digital printers who can print 1 book at a time on demand. I don't know how popular your work is, but it would be great to be able to hold the Just Between Series in book form. Thanks again for writing all your great stories. Best Regards, Linda Hsu |

There are so many people out there writing fan fiction, that sometimes it is hard to find something decent to read. You have so any irons in the fire with these characters that it would be very irritating not to know what happens next. ;) |

I have written a piece of poetry that I would like to share with you as my way of saying thanks for a great reading experience: Seven features that I adore Seven almost-smiles I have been given Seven mind-blowing solutions Of pure efficiency Seven emotions playing in your face -simultaneously Seven moments, seven truths Seven strands of your hair on my shirt Seven words in the night Spoken so softly Seven doubts you took away -quickly Seven of you, seven of me Seven touches by skilled hands Seven mornings and nights Woven so intricately Seven ways to drown in beautiful -humanity The fibres of me entwine with yours Growing exponentially My vision of a heaven Your multiples of Seven Take care! |

There simply are not enough TV shows with a strong female leads...how in the world are the next generation of women going to learn that they don't have to rely on a man to "save" them.
While I have read many of the J/T fanfic that is out there, you have earned my utmost respect and gratitude. Your stories are spot on. You made J/7 reachable and through their growth I was able to learn more about myself and my partner than I have in the past 15 years. You have saved my realtionship and I cannot thank you enough. |

| Comments: | I found your stories many years ago and with my voracious appetite for well written fiction I absolutely devoured them. I loved watching Voyager and the interraction between Seven & Janeway was always of great attraction to me, for you to have taken what the series gave, into what I wanted from the characters was amazing.
I loved reading them the first time around, and the second but I returned a third time and found the Millennium series as well I was overjoyed. After reading the intros I realise that you have suffered great loss in your personal life and that it must have been so difficult for you to overcome, but the fact that you did and continued to write such fabulous stories was a great gift to me, I have shed tears of sadness but much more of joy whilst reading them so for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I hope that you enjoyed writing them as much as I loved reading them. I, like so many others, would love to be able to read anything new that you write but if we never see another story from you we can always be grateful that you shared so much with this series. My sincerest hope is that you have found happiness and are living each day to it's fullest. With best wishes A x |

| Comments: | Hi there
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing the Just Between series with us. I'm a theatre technician by trade, and I discovered your series while trying to find something to keep me occupied in the long gaps I have between cues and emergencies during shows. Lets say some of my colleagues may not thank you for your gift. There have been a few missed cues recently because I've gotten so engrossed in one of your stories. You are an incredible writer! You've made me cringe, you've made me cry, laugh out loud, and sometimes even too scared to stay in my dark little corner backstage on my own, terrified of what might be lurking in the shadows behind my station! Thank you again, so very much. I hope that you will continue to publish your writing, and I look forward to reading more. Jo x |

Then I found your site and I think they should have had you write for the show. You brought them to life with a future and hope and yet kept them connected the show making it believable. I do hope you will continue and maybe you can write for the U.S. version of the show. Anyway, I wish you all the best. Thanks again. |

I just wanted to post a message to GINA expressing my sincere thanks for the deep pleasure that I have experienced while reading all of the VOYAGER stories on this site. I have just been through a bit of a traumatic time and I was fortunate enough to come across the NOVEL EXPECTATIONS site, I had found myself delving into the stories at the most hardest of times and I gained a most profound feeling of escapism that was essential in me carrying on and adapting with "real life". I admit that it was a hard time for me and whilst reading the stories although at times I was moved to tears, I also was moved to extreme joy and deep belly jiggling laughter!;-) Sometimes I felt that the stories would be the only good thing to look forward to in my day! GINA - THANK YOU - for sharing with us these wonderous and truly amazing stories, you are truly gifted! I would like to wish you continued success in your writing and I really really hope that you can find it in you to possibly continue with the MILLENIUM series and give us a conclusion that I think we all would have hoped for SEVEN and KATHRINE! With sincere thanks and adulation! ;-) Chrissy Taff |

I may have been very late to the party, but I'm so happy that I was able to read your stories. I have to say, these are some of the best tales I've read, in any medium, ever. Once I started reading the JB and Millenium series, I couldn't stop. I wanted to read them all straight through. I have been so enormously entertained over the past few weeks by these stories...

I just wanted to thank you for all the wonderful stories you have written over the years and for your latest J/7 story. I found your stories way back in the beginning of the Just Between series and I have been hooked ever since. You have done such a great job of growing both characters without loosing the wonderful strength's that were created by the two actresses that played them. Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan may have brought these two to life but you gave these characters a love worth living for. Your stories are so entertaining and heartwarming that I can't wait for the next one to come along. I really dread the day that your stories of these two come to an end but I hope you know how much your writing is appreciated and enjoyed. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent. Sandy |

| Comments: | Hi, I've read quite a bit of fan fiction over the years but I can honestly say that your Just Between series is probably the best I've ever seen. The stories are brilliantly structured with just the right balance between narrative and dialogue, drama and humour (I lol'd quite a bit). The development of the two main characters is compelling, poignant and often overwhelmingly insightful of the human female condition in regards to same sex relationships. As an amateur writer, I think you have captured and represented Janeway and Seven perfectly. You also have a knack for allegory that would make Gene Roddenberry proud! Shine on you crazy diamond!! :D |

| Comments: | Gina, I have just recently found your site and have been reading all the after larkhall and J/7 series'I have wanted to tell you how very good I find your writing so i am doing that now-- but of course I am sending my sympathy for the loss of your mother, losing a parent, especially in this way-after a struggle of the mind like that is exceptionally difficult- just know that even people you have never met, people like me who only know you through your words-- wish there were words to comfort at this time...when you are ready to write again I will be ready to read-- |

| Comments: | WOW!! & Thank you so much Gina.
I found your website a few years back & read some of your stand alone J/7 fic's which I really enjoyed, back then I was mainly into reading Xena fic, but also being a Trek fan I could'nt help searching the web to see if anyone else saw what I did with J&7. Then it was whilst i was searching for Bad Girls fic that I found your site again & OMG!! My Fan Fic addiction went into overdrive, I've read all your after Larkhall stories so far & they are great, you really capture the escence of the characters, but the stories that have had the biggest impact on me are your JB & Millenium series,I litteraly have'nt been able to put them down, many hhours of sleep have been lost ;o) I know im not the first to say this but they really are the BEST fan fic I have EVER read & i've read a LOT! I also echo what others have said, you understand the chacters so well & you have wrote these stories with true emotion, i've laughed, been brought to tears, & had my thoghts provoked by reading them. I am in a happy 5+ year relationship with a women who I know loves me, but reading your stories has just reminded me not to take her for granted, & that a bit of wooing should never go out of a relationship. In short (well not so short) I just want to say thanks for sharing your gift with us, I look forward to any future updates you are able to give us. Take care of you & yours, & remember going through the ruff times makes the goodtimes all the sweeter. Thanks a million!!! |

| Comments: | I recently ran across your stories of Janeway/Seven. I adore them. I recently suffered alot of loss in my life, the last being dumped by someone who said I was, of all things, to old and to nice. My Mother died, and 2 of the women that raised me. I ended up quitting my job, where I was a 911 operator/Police Dispatcher for local PD. All within a few months. Needless to say, I was devastated. I was in such a bad place, nothing seemed to reach me and lift my spirits. Then I found your stories. It sounds so weird, but I started living again. If just to see what came next. I started getting out of my house again. But when I was home, I wasn't just moping around, I was reading. I ADORE the Just Between series and the Millennium series. I was wondering, since I just have 2nd Season to read, before they are all done. Will there be more? I've already reread Just Between series. All in the last month. I hope there will be more. I watched Voyager occasionally before, but now, I DVR the series daily. (3 episodes a day during the week currently) It's such a kick, to read the stories, and watch the show and just laugh at what plays through my head from your stories. I just wanted to take this chance to let you know how much I enjoyed your stories. Many times, I can just see the characters saying the things you write. Thank You.

| Comments: | Gina,
I actually wrote a note in your Dreambook on Saturday but I must have goofed as it hasn't posted..so here goes again. Only discovered fan fiction this year and your site a couple of months ago. I was amazed to find that generous authors like you post free stories. I want to thank you for this truly wonderful site/series. You have given me many hours of amazing entertainment from laughing aloud to crying, for free. (Didn't care for the Stone stories - J belongs to 7). So I was happy to donate to your internet fund and bought both your books, hope you are continuing to publish, I have a large collection books and many of BSBs' authors, Radcliffe is recruiting some great authors. Thank you again and please continue with the J/7 series |

| Comments: | How I love your "just between" series and "millium" series. never have I seen such good written fanfiction, and your plots are pure heaven to say the least. I have no idea how you come up with them, but it is just so profesional that I am in awe of your talent. And I am soooo happy that every now and again you pop up with a story to continue these series... would it be over the top to say that I love you? well at least I love your stories...

| Comments: | Gina,
I discovered fan fiction about 6 mths ago. Never knew that authors were so generous as to allow free access to their work. Your site I found by accident about 6 weeks ago and I must say this is the best J/7 series. I have read every story, didn't like the Sydney Stone stories because of 7 (well the stories were great except J belongs to 7). I bought both of your books and donated to your intern fund because of the many enjoyable hours I have spent reading here. Thank you so much for such gifted work. So sorry to hear about your mother. Thank you again. |
