|Comments:||Dear Sue, Congratulations to your site. It is very helpful. I am connected to Paul Dirac (physicist and Nobel Prize winner 1933) through his father Charles Dirac who was Swiss. Paul's mother was Florence Holten whose ancestors came from Polperro and Talland in Cornwall. You have common ancestors with Paul. His great-grandparents were John Holten and Elizabeth Barrett. I will send you my Holten family chart in a different mail. Please look at this page to see Paul's ancestors: http://www.dirac.ch/PaulDirac_ancestors.html
Kind regards and thanks for the additional confirmation you gave me.

|Comments:||Nice web site you have here.|
It was brilliant! Everyone seemed to be related somehow, and everyone very friendly. You must get in touch with Jeremy Rowatt Johns ( if you havent already)He is on the Polperro website .There is now A Polperro genealogical society- very cheap to join. This was started on Saturday. They will be doing news letters and meetings.Alady came from australia and 3 from USA! there are photos of Holtens amongst the ones taken by lewis harding in the 1860s &1870s and lots of holten graves (I found my stephen and agnes at Talland the holten graves are there too i think) I could ramble on for ages so will stop now!
Did you get to the Family History day at Polperro?
If so let me know a few details about it. Find any more family memebers?
As for a photo of Elizabeth, I do not know of any photo's for the George or Holten families unless they have some in the museum at Polperro. Maybe you might have an answer on that one.
Look forward to hearing from you again.
Sorry I have taken so long to reply to your last message-I have been very busy.
I am visiting Polperro for the first time next weekend for the genealogical meeting on saturday.Have you ever contacted Jeremy Rowatt Johns who has organised it?
I am still having research done on the george line and have a number of copies from the original registers. If you want copies let me know.
As your Elizabeth lived to 1918 did she have a photo taken?Best wishes and look forward to hearing from you

Thanks for your comments, I guess we are distant cousins if you descend from the Georges. I have alot more poems written by Richard Rendle Holten, but as yet haven't had the time to transcribe and post them on the site. So keep checking back it will get done hoefully soon. Would like your email address when you can get it to me.
I live in Melbourne, Australia.

sorry I've not been in touch for a while. Life's pretty hectic at the moment and I've not been doing a lot of work on my own family tree but on my husband's instead.
Great to see a photo of Talland Church, I was christened in that church.
If you get in touch I might be able to help with research in Wallsend as I live not far from Newcastle Upon Tyne.
