Comments:I have been thinking of writing you ever since the day we left Paris (March 13) and our beautiful Hermitage apartment. And I've composed so many letters in my mind, all of them rapturous, all of them filled with a light that is hard to describe, but so easy to feel.

I think the four happiest days of my life were spent there at the Hermitage, and that might sound funny to someone who knew the circumstances, because I came down with a horrible flu on Tuesday, our first full day in Paris. I had my list of all the things I wanted to see and do, but my body had other plans. The sickness was such that I couldn't stand or walk, but because of all of your wonderful notes that I had read, I asked my husband to read the part about doctors, and he called your office and talked to someone there who was very helpful, and we called a doctor.

When he walked in the door, I thought Docteur Jean-Yves Naudot had angel wings! He wore an elegant long-sleeved shirt, with pale cream, light blue and white stripes and white cuffs, and his light brown hair was a wavy and he said "Bon!" a lot. All of this made me feel much better -- he gave me an exam and prescriptions for my husband to fill, and moments after he left, I felt a hundred times better.

My daughter and her husband (who live in London) had a wonderful time wandering around Paris, while I spent the whole time in the apartment. But because of the amazing view, the little terrace, the Champ du Mars, and the voices of people floating up to me all day long, I felt as if I was in Heaven. The sunset on Wednesday night was spectacular, and I felt in communion with the whole city of Paris.

John, my son-in-law, who is British and a first time visitor, fell for Paris in a very big way. In fact, here's what he wrote on his blog:

" … Have you ever visited a place and fallen for it the instant you leave the station/airport?

"It happened the first time I came to London, home of my heart even now that the substandard infrastructure drives me to distraction (and not my desired destination, 99% of the time). I thought that feeling would be replicated when finally visiting New York, but while I very much like it and want to spend more time there, there wasn't the immediate blast of emotion I had expected.

"Paris, on the other hand, completely won me over. Never have I seen a city containing such effortlessly beautiful buildings, nor have I been lucky enough to visit somewhere so busy and yet filled with such charming and polite people. It's often said there is an antagonism between the English and the French, but I think that's bullxxxx. Even though my command of French is minimal, I felt relaxed and welcomed by Paris. My next visit cannot come soon enough."

I just wanted to thank ParisPerfect for creating such a beautiful place and for keeping it so lovely. It gave me great joy. And even though we hadn't stayed with you before, I kept reading your charming handwritten note that said "we are so pleased to welcome you back and we hope you have another wonderful stay…" and it felt so right -- I couldn't have said it better. I felt it was true -- that we had known each other before, this was one of many trips, and that we will know each other even better as time goes by.

We did have an opportunity to eat at two of the restaurants on your list, the first night at Thoumieux (I got the soup, and it was amazing!) and everything my family ordered was spectacular -- so many levels of flavor -- and the last night at Au Petit Sud Ouest, and they were so charming and friendly, the food was great … it was just delightful!

My dream is that I'll be contacting you at some point in the future to buy an apartment in Paris!

Dearest Madelyn, thank you for going "above and beyond" in everything you do, with so much loving kindness … and thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Comments:I stayed in the lovely Meursault in Sept., 2008. The views from this apartment were unbelievable!! I would post on my lap-top with the Eiffel Tower right there. The apartment was darling. It has a loft with bed, or you can flip open the sofa bed. I chose to climb the ladder..it was easy. The apartment has everything that you need and more. Full size refrigerator, nice shower in bathroom. Nicely furnished, the Paris Perfect way! The area is great, of course. Mid way between La Tour Maubourg and Ecole Militaire metros..rue Cler a block away. So very many restaurants. Location, location.
I also stayed in the new Moulin-a-Vent apartment in October of 2008. I was first guest there! What a lovely apartment! High ceilings, huge bedroom, wonderful kitchen and all furnished and decorated the Madelyn way! Complete with all the Paris Perfect amenities that one becomes so used to with PP. Great location on Champ du Mars. One of the best boulangeries on the corner, rue Cler a block away. Restaurants and shops galore. Buses for wherever along with metro. So easy to walk to so many sights, the Seine the high end shops. The 7th is my area and Paris Perfect are my apartments. Thank you for another great stay!! Joan

Comments:Thanks for living up to your name! We had a flawless time in Paris at your apartment. Everything was in order and it was all very comfortable. We look forward to renting for you again. Your guide to the apartment was very well thought out. Even better was the great guide to all the local businesses. The restaurant suggestions were great. The pictures of the apartment are very accurate, especially the view of the Eiffel tower.

Comments:Dear Madelyn,

We wanted to let you know what a wonderful visit we had to Paris and above all the staying in your apartment, Condrieu. Everything was just as pictured and all arrangements we asked for were made perfectly. It was so great to be able to come back to such a warm and cozy apartment after a busy day of business. We especially enjoyed the great modern kitchen and the luxury of two bathrooms. The location was fabulous with the metro and RER a few blocks away. We also enjoyed being able to sample so many wonderful stores with beautiful displays of foods and flowers within a few blocks. We have already decided on our next trip we are going to actually really use the wonderful kitchen for more than breakfast.

Thank you again for making our week in Paris a memorable one.

Comments:We stayed in lovely Sancerre on rue St. Dominique for the week of Valentine's Day, 2009. The apartment was exactly as it was represented on the ParisPerfect website. It was fully furnished and the kitchen was wonderfully equipped. Lovely, light-filled Sancerre was spotlessly clean, and located mere steps to the bus stop. From the first time we contacted ParisPerfect, to the last time we closed the door to Sancerre, we had a top-notch, worry-free experience. We happily ate our way through the provided list list of "Top 5/6" restaurant recomendations-and had nothing but fabuous food and impecable service at each cafe. Victor's taxi service to/from CDG proved to be worth every Euro-he was prompt & helpful. Did I mention the fabulous view of la Tour Eiffel as she twinkled and sparkled her way thru the night? Paris is notorious for small hotel rooms, but why stay in a cramped room when you can have your very "own" apartment??? It is so rare to find a company that delivers on it's promises; ParisPerfect did that and more. They greeted us upon arrival, made us feel welcome, and thanked us when we returned home. Thanks to the entire ParisPerfect Team. I think I am in love...a bientot.

Comments:Dear Madelyn and Phillipe,
My family and I would like to thank you for the wonderful stay we had at your apartment in Paris during the Christmas holidays!
Whenever one books a place on the internet, there's always that little bit of insecurity, as one is never really sure that things will be as promised.
So it was extremely reassuring to find that everything was just as it was supposed to be; that in itself is saying it all!
The superb location certainly added to the charm !
We were very happy with your prompt replies to all our queries and with your polite and well trained staff.
The apartment itself was spotlessly clean (very important!) and well maintained. I loved all the informative books, maps, brochures etc. about Paris (as well as the kids'movies) that were kept in stock, as also the welcome food basket!
All the information that you provided soon after we had booked came in really handy and made things that much simpler for us. All in all, we had a great time in your lovely apartment!
I certainly hope that any future trips to Paris will mean staying in a Paris Perfect apartment and will have no qualms in recommending your company to others. Thank you once again !
Warm regards,
Anuradha.

Comments:When I am exhausted having cooked the Christmas dinner for the family and I contemplate cleaning up I will close my eyes and drift back to the glorious Christmas I spent in "my" Paris Perfect apartment with the love of my life. What a wonderful three weeks we spent in Paris in the Christmas of 2008. We watched the Eiffel Tower turn golden with silver sparkles on New Year's Eve from our little place in the 7th. Except for matches for the lovely candles absolutely nothing was overlooked by the fantastic staff at PP. They had everything covered. Their communication could not be faulted. The apartment was everything we imagined and just like the photos online. Living like a local is the way we like to holiday. The space, the little extras (my baguette holder hangs proudly on the kitchen door), the cleanliness. Thank you PP for providing us with so much information and the glorious little apartment. I can't wait to return. Ah, someday!

The neighborhood couldn't be better and I felt like a parisian when every morning we went to buy croissants at Kayser Boulangerie! My husband loves to cook and we could find every thing to make very special dinners in a foot step, and we did a cooking class that you recommended at Promenades Gourmandes that was fantastic! The location very close to the Seine river and Musée D'Orsay was the best! The ParisPerfect staff was wonderful and very helpfull,we are very well receptioned. The driver you recommende was very good also.I can't thank you enough for having one of the most wonderful vacations and we are looking forward in coming back soon. I've been in Paris several times before,it's one of my favorite cities in the world, but this time at Burgundy apartment was the best!!!!!!It was a wondefull experience and I recommended to everyone!!!!

Comments: Our family (my husband, our two teenage sons and I), stayed at Chateau Latour when we spent Christmas 2008 in Paris. The apartment is exquisite. The view is staggeringly gorgeous. Cassandra, who met us at the apartment when we arrived and made sure everything was to our liking for our entire visit, was delightful.

Upon our return home, before the airplane wheels hit the tarmac, I told my husband I intended to bring him back in 2009 to celebrate his birthday. It will be easy to plan a return trip because we already know where we will stay: We will book with Paris Perfect. The only difficulty will be choosing which apartment, and the difficulty is that they are all so gorgeous.

This was the 5th trip to Paris for my husband and me, the third for our older son, the second for our younger son. This was the easiest, most relaxed visit we have ever had. My husband enjoyed going out early every morning for fresh pastries and bread. We made espresso in the apartment. And while we ate our breakfast we gazed out at the most magnificant view of the Eiffel Tower anyone could imagine.

When we went to bed each night we would take one last, long gaze at the view, only to be greeted by it again the next morning.

The only sad moment of the trip was when we took our last lingering look at the view of a city we love.

Best wishes to all until we return later this year.

Comments:A "Perfect" Family Christmas - Jan 5, 2009
I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay in Paris over Christmas last year with Paris Perfect. We are a diverse group of ten family members...ranging in age from 9 to 81. Although Paris Perfect didn't have one apartment large enough to accommodate all of us, the staff was incredible about finding us two beautiful smaller apartments across the hall from one another that allowed all of us to spend our awake time together, parting only to go to sleep each evening. It was a great solution...although I will confess that it's a bit nerve-wracking to do all this over the internet. It wasn't until we had arrived in our apartments that I finally relaxed! Not only was the service great before we even left for our trip, it was first rate once we arrived. The welcome was efficient, timely and thorough. The apartments were fully outfitted with everything we needed. Our favorite accessory was the wheeled shopping cart that made us feel like real Parisians! The resource notebook in each apartment provided a wealth of information and made us feel as if we had lived in the neighborhood forever. One of our younger members needed to be sure that Santa Claus would find him in Paris and felt that we "had to have" a Christmas tree. The folks at Paris Perfect left recommendations of local florists from whom we could buy a tree! It turned out that a most talented and lovely young woman owned a flower shop literally next door to our apartment building! We wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend Paris Perfect to anyone.

You gave us a home in the City of Light and made us feel as if we had friends there. You let us feel as if we were living in Paris for a little while instead of being tourists. Your made our fourth visit to Paris the best of all.

Highly recommended! Thanks for everything!

Comments:Bonjour Madelyn and Philippe! We have just returned from our vacation in Paris. We (7 friends)stayed at the Richebourg apartment, and it was beautiful. Everything was what we hoped for. Clarissa greeted us on our first day, and was wonderful, explaining everything about the apartment and appliances. We quickly made ourselves "at home", and we were very pleased with all the storage space. The location of the apartment was fabulous, so convenient to everything. It was everything we had hoped it would be. We were also thrilled to see so many shops and restaurants decorated for Christmas. I'm already thinking about my next trip to Paris, and staying in another of your lovely apartments. I had been to France twice before, but nothing compared to this vacation.
Thank you so much, you truly think of everything to make a memeorable trip to the most beautuful city in the world.

We spend a great week last spring (08) with our daughter and her friend... perfect for 2 adults, and 2 kids.

The Paris Perfect people were great. very helpful, and the apartment was clean and ready when we arrived.

Comments:What can I say? Our second stay in one of your beautiful apartments and this time was just as special as the first. On our last visit we always said that if we returned to Paris we would bring our teenagers and stay with Paris Perfect again.
Imagine my 14 year old daughter's face when the cab pulled up to the HERMITAGE apartment ..right in front of the Eiffel Tower. We had kept the location a surprise just to see her reaction.
The location, the view, the apartment decor, the wonderful list of helpful information, the area....all PERFECT. We felt right at home and for a week Paris was our home not just a place we were visiting. We shopped at the Rue Cler markets, ate at Tribeca( wonderful food). We bought fresh pastries and bread every day and ate breakfast in the lovely dining room with the BEST Eiffel Tower view ever!
The tower was blue this time as festivities for EU were in force- not a spectacular as the yellow- but I will not complain one bit.
Comfortable beds- wonderful heating for those cold nights, plenty of storage, a great little nespresso machine and very new appliances for washing and cooking.
As a family of 5- we also had my mother with us ....we found that this was an ideal way to enjoy the week in relaxation instead of the confinment of hotel rooms. The price is also justified as we would have paid double or triple for similar quality and square footage of accomodation in a hotel. We were as close to the tower as you could get. No other building in front of ours. We could actually see people on the 2nd level.
The area is residential so no loud crowds but still easy to get to the batobus on the river for transport to all other areas that we wanted to visit.
Thank you again for another wonderful experience in your beautiful city. Paris is really one of my favorites and I hope to return one day... maybe next time with my 3 sisters. Now that would be wonderful.

Comments:If you want to experience Paris as a "local" not a tourist, but want all the comforts of home and a fabulous support staff just a phone call away, then rent a Paris Perfect apartment!

We rented "Merlot" --just across from the Champs de Mar and Eiffel Tower--for a week in October. The apartment oozes charm and character. Dining (or just sipping wine) on the terrace, with the twinkling Eiffel Tour in grand view is one of those surreal experiences. Everything is first class, from the furnishings, bedding, towels, and even deluxe expresso maker. Just stroll down the street to buy your croissants, frommage, vin, or absolutely anything else you want. The location is perfect, with each street more charming than the next.

As everyone else mentioned, the staff and their services put the experience over the top, from the moment you make contact to discuss which apartment might suit you the best. The booking process was easy, all logistical details are provided, you are met upon arrival for a thorough briefing of the apartment, a phone call follows the next day to be sure all is well, and they are available by phone for the inevitable question or two. On top of all that, Madelyn has assembled an amazing "guide book" of information which comes upon booking. It's hard to imagine a question that isn't addressed in it, whether it's where to shop and dine, how to use the Metro, taxi suggestions, tour guide suggestions, and on and on. Stay there once, and you WILL return!!

Comments:Dear Philippe, Madelyn & The Paris Perfect Team

It is hard to believe that it has been a month since our return from Paris! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and staying in the Montrachet apartment on Rue St. Dominique really made our trip truly "Perfect". The apartment is beautiful and the views of the Eiffel Tower were spectacular to say the least. We loved spending our late afternoons, after a day of seeing the sights, relaxing on the balcony, enjoying a bottle of wine along with cheese & pate and reveling in our view.

We also enjoyed our daily croissants and baguettes purchased at the bakery across the street and shopping in the very convenient grocery store. We ate in the apartment the majority of the week...even packed our lunches.

We really got addicted to the Nespresso machine in the apartment. In fact, we are now the proud owners of a machine of our own and have been enjoying all of the different varieties.

I called the office and asked where I could purchase the Eiffel Tower candle holder in the apartment.....well, believe it or not, I found one here at home....in the J.C. Penney catalog no less....and it was on sale to boot! I love it...much nicer than the ones with "Paris" printed on them in the souvenir stores!!!

The apartment was so well located and close to the bus routes. We got so good at riding the bus that, on the morning of our departure, we even caught the bus to the Arc De Triomphe to catch the Air France bus for the airport. It was so easy and efficient.

I want to thank Madelyn for the croissant basket and Phillipe for the champagne they sent in celebration of my birthday. It was a lovely thought and certainly made our evening special.

Thank you all so much for making our stay in Paris so very special. We hope to stay with you again on our next trip.

The information about the neighborhood, shopping, restaurants, transporation, sightseeing, etc. were all on target and extremely helpful.

We stayed in both Montrachet and Sancerre apts. and found both to be just as the website shows them. They were clean, charming, and extremely comfortable. Cassandra was professional, very pleasant, and patient in her introductions and with our questions.

I would recommend Paris Perfect to anyone wanting an apartment rental in Paris- and hope to return again.

Comments:Dear Philippe, Madelyn, Magalie, Carolyn and Cassandra:

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for making our stay in Paris absolutely PERFECT! We loved the apartment (Bordeaux) and the neighborhood, which was an ideal location close to everything we could want -- cafes and restaurants, boulangeries, a grocery store, boutiques, ATMs, the Metro/RER stations -- and, of course, la Tour Eiffel.

I must admit I was a bit nervous at first about booking an apartment on-line, but your Paris Perfect Team made it a wonderful experience. You are real professionals at what you do, and you seemed to have thought of everything even before we could think of it -- your booklet of valuable information, the current editions of all those travel books, the well-stocked apartment (lotions, soap, dishes, corkscrew, etc.), the handy extra converter, and especially the thoughtful welcoming basket were all much appreciated.

I look forward to another stay at one of your apartments. Actually, I am thrilled to see that you also have properties in Italy (through Excellent Europe), since we are considering our next vacation in 2010 -- although if it were up to me, I'd return again and again to Paris!

Thank you for such a lovely stay in such a lovely city,

The location was fantastic and the extremely helpful booklet in the apartment meant that you already knew where to go to get essential supplies so no time wasted searching.

The apartment has a great view onto the Eiffel Tower which was great at night with the light show and the applicances in the apartment were all easy to use and of a high quality.

The Paris Perfect team are very friendly and really offered us a typical Parisian time! – Thank you so much!

Comments:My family and I stayed at the Paris Perfect apartment 'Gigondas' for a week in June. The apartment more than fulfilled our expectations - every thing that 9 people needed was there. The apartment was large, light, very well furnished, spotlessly clean, in an excellent part of town and had an Eiffel Tower view out of many windows. Service from the PP staff was efficient, timely and charming.
Locally, we were thrilled with the Batobus, the Rue Grenelle market 2 blocks away (Wed and Sun), the Boulangerie around the corner (Oh, those croissants!) the Rue Cler and the Cafe Constant. The information provided by PP in advance was invaluable!

Comments:The most important aspect of a vacation rental apartment is how well the agency anticipates their guests' needs, and Paris Perfect does that and more. The apartment is outfitted with pretty much anything you might need on vacation, and the free phone connection to our USA home was especially nice for us. We'd anticipated staying in Kir, but a plumbing issue required Paris Perfect to change us to Mersault - which they insisted on doing in advance, so that our arrival went without any delay. We were met at the apartment by Brooke, who demonstrated how all the equipment - from TV to Phone to Dishwasher to Laundry - worked. A nice, and very useful, basket of welcoming items awaited, including - quite thoughtfully - some milk and orange juice for breakfast and... oh, I won't spoil any surprises, just know it was especially thoughtful. The apartment's location is excellent - on a major, but very quiet 7th arrondisment street, very near to two Metro stations, taxi stands, and bus lines. Having lived in this same general area for several months a while back, I especially appreciated being in "my neighborhood" again, and you will enjoy it as well... Go to the boulanger/patissierer down the street for your breakfast croissants, to rue Cler for fruit, veggies, and a nice café, visit Epicerie Fine Rive Gauche for specialties... go have a wonderfully special time in Paris via Paris Perfect's apartments.
