When I read what you said about grieving for the part of your daughter that had died also, I knew exactly what you were talking about. I felt the same way when I saw son kneeling at his sons casket. I was pregnant 10 times and the one before the last was a boy and I was almost 7 months. God was and is good to allow me to have 3 beautiful daughters and now because of them I have 6 beautiful grandchildren. Our God works in many different ways and it's hard for us to understand His plans. As you said now you can confort another grandma or another daughter that has lost a little one. I also, can confort someone who leaves the hospital, after having a baby but no baby in the arms. Also the milk comes and there is no one to be fed. That feeling that only another women who has experienced that can confort another one. So see, we have a mission " to confort other because we been there, They say that time heals.. Indeed it heals but also leaves a deep scar.... Now we enjoy our grandchildren much more than a person that never has lost at all. I just lost my beautiful 18 yr. old daughter, Jill, in a tragic car accident on 8/2/02, so everything is still extremely fresh to me. I miss her so much, and sometimes I believe that the pain becomes worse everyday. I have found that the advice of "taking one day at a time" is excellent advice; however, it is too much for me right now, and I am "taking one hour at a time."
