Report: Arrived at Michaux (Big Flat) at 2 PM. There was one other snowmobile trailer in the lot. The parking lot has about 4 inches of loose powder on it. The main roads have an ice base with an inch or snow on top. They are ridable but I could hear the carbides hitting stone more often than I prefer. I tried to take the trail across Rt. 233 but a 4 wheeler had the trail torn up and there was no base anyway. I turned around and packed it in. So had the other trailer. It started to rain on my way out. So much for this snow!

Report:Michaux has 4-7 inches of snow with no base. I wasn't out myself due to work, but a diehard was out last night and said he only put on 10 miles because it was rough and the conditions were poor. It has rained all night and I am assuming it would suck now. But...it should be a good base if we get another weekend storm like they say.

Report:Allright you guys, in answer to all the emails. Michaux has 2-4 inches of wet snow and I guess if you were desperate to ride, you could ride. Bear valley has more snow, maybe about 4-5 inches and again if you were desperate to ride, you could probably ride. This was as of 8pm last night. Snow is already melting today (Friday) and temp is 38 in Chambersburg now.

Report:Wife and I rode 60 miles yesterday. 2-3" ice base with about 1" loose snow on top. Smooth and fast, but slick with not much lube for sliders or hot running sleds. Saw at leat 25-30 others taking advantage of the conditions while they last. Should hold for a few days unless the rain takes too much of a hit. May get too icy if the loose stuff on top disappears.

Riding Area: Tioga County
Report:Rode Tioga County today (about 100 miles) and the riding was pretty decent overall. I wouldn't say it was great, but it was riding and they are grooming, but not much to work with. I'd say it will be shot by mid-week next week. Seems like maybe 4-6 inches most places and bare spots.
