Grace was the perfect name for such a wonderful lovely lady. We shared the love of dogs and many years ago when we had to board our dogs, we only trusted them to Grace and Tom. Even after they retired, we gave them a key to our house and they came in to care for our furry family. I'll never forget that we had our locks changed and totally forgot to give Grace a new key. We were off to some trip and Grace and Tom were going to take care of our dogs....well the key didn't work. Grace called the locksmith and convinced him that he must let them in and breaking all rules, he let them in!! Our dogs were in the best hands. We love you and miss your fun laugh and smile.

There will never be a woman with a better sense of humor (although you are close, Pat) than Grace. I still think about her to this day. I remember you and your Mom coming over to my house to breed dogs, and your mother telling the story of her fall-she had a black eye!

//Diane //http://www.cameochihuahuas.com Dear Pat and family, I never had the good fortune to meet Grace but have heard so much about her and wish we could have met. I think we would have been good friends. I hope you will take comfort in knowing that Grace was loved not only by her family but by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences on her passing. Warm Regards and Heartfelt Sympathy, Diane Comella Cameo Chihuahuas |

I never got the chance to meet the great Grace. She was great in my book. She was one of those people that I wanted to meet and just bask in her presence and listen to her great knowledge. She had some dogs that I truly admired, as I admired her. I feel blessed that I get to talk to her wonderful daughter, Pat, and hear of the stories about Grace and the dogs. We have lost a true pioneer for the Chihuahua breed and a beautiful person all around.

Your mom was a great lady. It was a real pleasure to spend a week with her and your family five years ago. I was hoping to meet her again soon. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Pat- Your Mum was a great inspiration to all that met her. She was the type of person we should all strive to be, strong yet sensitive to others feelings. The few times I was able to visit with her at dog shows will forever remain in my memories. She has left the dog community some awfully big shoes to fill.

It was with great sorrow that I learned of Grace passing away. She was my friend, mentor, fellow dog fancier and family. Before I knew Grace as "Family" she asked for a ride to the Astro Hall Dog Shows. I was showing my cocker spaniels and she wanted to watch the chihuahuas. We lost each other in the crowds and she found a fellow cocker exhititor (I had not met the person at the time), and just sat in their set-up and said I would find her. Well, I had no idea she was lost and after a couple of hours someone tapped me on the shoulder and said "I think I have someone that belongs to you." At that moment I heard her talking and laughing with a bunch of exhibitors, well they were all laughing and trying to talk. "Yes," I said..."she does belong to me ." That is the way I remember Grace, laughing.... Grace, we will miss you and you will always be in our hearts..

Pat & Family - You have our sincerest sympathies for the loss of this wonderful little lady. And that, she was. Our best memories were of her and Jim "sparring" at dog shows. When anyone would hear gales of riotous laughter coming from ringside, just look and there were Jim and Grace having one of their famous "set-tos". She gave as good as she got, and she always got the best (or worst)of Jim. Such a fun and honest person she was. We'll never forget her. But into each life some rain must fall. I can see Grace now in heaven, directing traffic and telling the angels to "shape up and fly right". I know you'll miss her essence and her presence, as we all will. What a privilege to have known her.

//http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/1495 It was with great sadness to learn of your mom's passing. Grace was quite the lady and the grandest matriarch of your family and the doggies. I know your memories of her will be comforting to you and for everyone who knew her. Please accept my sympathy and good wishes. |

Grace and Tom gave me my very first job while I was in high school at Animal Crackers. That job working with the animals laid the foundation for me to become a veterinary technician. I have Grace and Tom both to thank for my success. Grace and my grandma, Shirley Schulle< are probably in Heaven now, arguing over which Boston is put together better! May your pain ease over time and leave you with only those happy, special memories that keep our missing loved ones so close to our hearts. Sincerest Sympathy, Nikki Willeford

Pat, We send all of our love and thoughts to you and your family. As you remember, we worked for your mom as groomers at Animal Crackers along with our mom, Shirley, who passed away 2 years ago this holiday season. We all loved your mom and promise that your heart will heal as the days go by. Your mom's memory will be the catalyst that will keep you going when you have those mornings that you can't get up out of bed because she is gone. Grace will pull you up and tell you to live and enjoy life as she did. She will always love you and protect you from Heaven and will be there to listen to you when you need to talk to your mom. We are so very sorry. Ken and Athena Willeford

Grace is a grand lady. She is a founding member of the Great Houston Boston Terrier Club and we appreciated her wisdom and knowledge. She will be missed. Good Bless Pat and her family.

Grace was like a grandmother to me since mine had already passed away. She made you laugh when you needed the laugh. She made you smile when you most needed to. She always acted as the young child that she was inside. I remember the days when we found out we were both born on April 16 and said that was why we got along so well. She was a wonderful woman and grandmother to those that did not have grandmothers still alive. The world has truly lost a very special lady. We all loved Grace and always will.

//Tracy and Kyle Potts //http://kylepottstx@aol.com Grace was the epitome of a lady. Her sharp wit and quick laugh made it so easy to love her. It was always a treat to find her ringside at the dog shows and be able to sit with her for a while. When you were doing good, she let you know it, but if you messed up, she let you have it! We will miss her. God Bless your family! |

I only had the pleasure to know "Miss Grace" the last ten or so years she blessed this planet. So many "dog show" people are mean. She wasn't. Her name was how she was "Grace". She helped people who were the competiion. Hey this is unheard of mostly! Don't think this little lady was shy. She would speak her mind. I wish she had been my mom. May she rest in peace. With love, Elaine
