Thank you for the beautiful pictures of Carn Brea Castle. In 2001 my wife and I were living in Colan, Newquay. I worked at RAF St Mawgan. We are from Norfolk, Virginia in the USA. The funny thing is we accidentally discovered that it was a restaurant while hiking up the north side of the moor. 2 months passed before I returned to Virginia to be with my wife and daughter. I never had a chance to return to take pictures of the castle. However, I now have some beautiful pictures, thanks to you and your website. Cheers, Jeff Crump |

| Comments: | I lived in Cornwall during my teenage years, before emigrating to Australia. As my memories of Cornwall are very hazy, it is wonderful to see your pictures and have my memory jogged. I lived in Helston, Pt. Issac, Tregony and St. Agnes and my father drove a bus around Cornwall so I saw many places whilst going with him. My father also had a "Fish and Chip" van and we went to many small villages to sell fish and chips. Coronation Park in Helston was a favorite stamping ground for the young ladies with their boyfriends from Culdrose Naval Air Station. Those where the days!!!
