| Comments: | I first heard about project blue ribbon in the book, Chicken Soup for the Soul. I thought it was a great idea. I wish there was more we could do. If only we could get the ribbons to EVERYONE and make them use it when they need to. But this is a big start to controlling the problem. Just remember guns, knives, or any weapon (even if you think they aren't loaded, sharpened, etc.) ARE NOT TOYS!!!! Take care and listen to the people around you. They don't always come right out and say it when they have thoughts. Watch out for each other. |

there. We sometimes forget about Jonsboro, Arkansas; Pearl, Mississippi & Kentucky. Littleton was, though, the worst of all 5 incidents. And hopefully it's the last. I had a chance to speak with Andy McDonald, Sarah Arzola, and Martin Schneider. Three students who just happened to be at school the day of April 20, 1999. The words they told us, and the fear and anger in their eyes, was enough to make anyone understand the pain and hurt they went through. I hope no one else ever has to experience a pain like that. |

Our children did not invent this trend in music-it was our generation Woodstock etc. our children did not glorify the use of drugs( see Timothy Leary etal) our children do not design/buy clothes we find so offensive, they don't make guns,bullets, violent movies, violent video games etc. We the people have created our own mess. We the people need to first and foremost apologize to our children for the mess we have made for them. We should apologize to our GOD (as we consider Him to be) and decide here and now we will be accountable. We can and we must do this ASAP and without a lot of finger pointing as there is plenty to go around. We must decide if we want a civil society, safe streets, schools, homes, workplaces or will be continue our quest for profits without principals, feel good policies without responsibilities, election and re-election of sound-good soundbyte candidates with no real differences in failed social policies.
