I was wondering if you could give me an idea of what high school classes would be most beneficial to take and what colleges I should consider. I still have a lot of exploring to do on my own, but I was wondering if you could steer me in the right direction. What are your employment requirements? I have a neighbor who works as a volunteer fire fighter and invites me to join the department when I turn 18. I feel that this might be a good idea to see if fire fighting is the right career for me. My name is Rich Anderson from Kanawha County. I'm writing to tell you about IPN. IPN is the Incident Page Network. It's a breaking news service that sends you an E-Mail or Text. Page to your Pager or Cell Phone. They have dispatchers from all over the USA. Here in WVA we only have maybe two dispatchers at this time. That is why I am writing. I think it would be great if we could get some more coverage throughout the state. I'd like to know what is going on around the state, I . E. House Fire, MVA's Rescues and such. It is free to become a dispatcher, plus after 30 days you get free service from IPN. That means you can subscribe *free of charge* to any State or County throughout the US. I've come to love the service, just not the fact that we have such poor coverage through our area. I know alot of you guys keep very busy and I'd like to see some calls send out through IPN. He turned 5 on the 17th and we arranged for him to tour the fire station. He had several with him. Daniel had a blast! The fireman, I beleive it was Chad, was very informative and gave him personal attention, explained what they do and let him sit in the fire truck and turn the lights on. OF course Sparky was the icing on the cake! He loved Sparky and had his pictures taken with him. Thanks alot you all made his birthday vrey special. This is why I love living in Princeton!
