| Comments: | I am a great admirer of Arabian Horses... In 1954, I was privileged to be hired by Dr. Richard P. Wagner of Roswell, N.M. to exercise and ride "Selmian"one of the Crabett Stud horses brought to the U.S. Dr. Wagner referred to Selmian lovingly as "The Old Gentleman", and he was, indeed a very sweet tempered and pleasant horse to ride. I was about 19 years old at that time, and had a good local reputation for horsemanship. Dr. Wagner wanted someone to exerscize Selmian for a time, so he would be calm under saddle for the Doctor's young children who were becoming proficient riders.
Ultimately Dr. Wagner saved me... ( Appendicitis!) and as i was also painting Portraits at the time, did one of Selmian for the Doctor.. |

I just wanted to give you an update on Ariana Farwa's progress. I've had her a year now and I absolutely love her! What a wonderful mind. I've camped with her four or five times this summer, taken her all over Pt Reyes on lots of the trails, just the two of us. Nothing bothers her...bridges, water, over logs, trotting through the surf, up and down steep hills, being ponied, bikes, hikers, wild animals. Plus she's so darn cute! If you remember I had Aur Magic Genii a Lewisfield Magic daughter. Genii's now almost 25 and going great. I can't beleive I got two "once in a lifetime horses"! Thanks for your part. Janet |

I currently own one aged mare that is a granddaughter of *Barich de Washoe out of a mare of Carleton Cummings breeding. Even though she strongly shows the Spanish in her, the old CMK shows through clearly, as well as the great temperament. |

I just accidentlly found your website, while looking for a place to advertise my spanish stallion, wow! I can not believe that SX Staleys Gemini is still alive and well and breeding, I wish I lived out there so i could breed some of my mares to him, he is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes looking at him, I haven't heard anything about him for so long, I have several old ones myself including a stallion named Ebonys Mendeza (El Reata Juan x Princeton Shiga) he's 25 and also still breeding mares, plus i have 2 30 yr old mares, from my foundation stock, by Gamuzon, and Ahhfad Bask, where does time go.
