| Comments: | I signed your dreambook a few years back. Since then I have come a very long way. I take 300mg of lithium a day, along with 90mg of morphine (must be extended relief) by pill. Two advil PMs at night and three fibracom tablets daily. I also I slowly walk 30 minutes a day and do 50 slow crunches a day to build the muscles around my stomach and intestines. My life HAS started and is now filled with quality days (Don't ever give up). Going to the bathroom (2) is a very, very important nesesaty for everyone. It is a must to go at least every other day, and eat small heathly meals. I would also like to add that potassium is the core nutrient needed by our cells so they have the ability to reproduce healthy and keep the body's ammune system strong. This sounds like a lot of things to do. But, I have been working on my problem for 5 years with 2 near death experiences. Please think about the things I have implemented in my life. and ask your doctor, or do your own research, everyone deseves to have some quality of life, and hope for the future. It's not in your head.

I see a rheumatologist and homeopathic dr. -- I have changed my diet which has helped -- gone on mainly a vegetarian diet. | Comments: | I am 21 years old, and have recently been told that I have Fibromyalgia. I have had horrible back and neck pain for 3 years. During my pregnancy my legs would go weak or feel like Jello, as time went on my pain and my leg problems became worse. Along with sleepless nights, or half slept nights, waking up in the middle of the night and one whole side of my body would be numb or hurt so bad that I was not able to go back to sleep. I am in so much pain at times that I am not able to pick up or get on the floor to play with my daughter.
I have been given sleeping pills and as of now they are not helping, pain pills that only work with 1/10 of the pain. My husband since I have a name for all of the pain really does not say or help much. I think the less he talks about it, the longer he does not have to deal with me being sick. or maybe he thinks its all in my head, since the xrays came back ok. | Comments: | I have FMS/CFS, sleep apnea, hasimoto's thyroiditis, one kidney, empty sella syndrome. I was just dxs in May 2002 with FMS/CFS, and sleep apnea. Since 1999 I have not been able to hold down a job. I have so many days I can not get out of bed either from the fibro, or chronic fatigue. I applied for my SSD have been turned twice. The last letter told me I could go back to work since I had recovered from my STROKE.....I have never had a stroke !
People who do not have this weird disease has no idea what we have to live with. I had to give up my job, my volunteer work for the American Veterans organizations, bowling two and three nights a week, dart tournaments. I no longer can drive a car, have not been able to do this for a year now. I think my fms started in 1999, when I became very ill and they could not find out what was wrong with me. I had a dry cough, back pain, I turned a gray color, my stomach swoll as tho I were pregnant. My feet swoll, I lost total control of my bladder. I was in bed 9 1/2 weeks, I could not feed myself, or bathe myself. The docs kept telling me I had acute bronchitis......NO I did not-I have had that before, and this was totally different. My doc tested me for Lupus, Mysthenia Gravis, MS, and allergies.....I have been suffering ever since this incident. I was dxs in May from a Rheumatologists. I have since been through a tremdous amount of testing for MS, Lyme Disease and etc. I go tomorrow for a "mental exam" ordered by law judge for my SSD....I am not wacko, but I do have depression, and anexity due to this disease. I wish you all pain free days, and hope that someday soon we will have some answers to this disease, and hope that more docs will start listening to the patients when they have so much pain and no answers. I had to have surgery for Arnold Chiari Malformation last January and have had FMS & CFS since then. Hi, About 10 years ago, after my second child I slowly started becoming so tired. Every time I saw a Dr it was the same old story "well you have children and you are tired from your children " but I know my body very well and I was always very active ,I use to be able to clean my house like a white tornado, work two jobs and play with my son. When it finally hit me my son even noticed it before I did and he was only 9 at the time. I finally complained to the dr's so much, one dr told me i was manic depressant I got off the table I almost slapped him, I told him I was crying because no one could figure out what was wrong with me. I was working at a medical clinic when my girlfriend suggested me to take aana test I did behind the dr's back,when the results came back it was positive for 5 deseases, out of all the ones lupus showed up as a low level.For a while they said they didn't want to treat me for my lupus cause it was so low, but they did put me on paxil to release seratonin because i guess that's what we lack with fms. It worked but I only took it for 2 years while I also exercised. For the last 7 years I have been exercising, I've always eaten healthy, I don't smoke never did, I don;t drink unless i'm at a wedding or social event which is very seldom. I try to people that tell me they have this how to help themselves they tell me they don't have the strength to excercise and i tell them i was once at the bedridden point and i told myself i was not going to live like that. I'm feeling great for the last couple of years with fewer bad days, but co-workers and bosses don't understand that you can be fine one day and the next day you are dragging yourself, but the best results to feeling better is pushing yourself the days you are dragging. I am 40 ears old and i can out excercise my 10year old daughter. So i say meditation ,rest and relaxation, exercise and eat right and you are on your way. I hate people who say they don't have time cause if you can't make time for yourself you are never going to feel good.thank you for listening and thank you for sharing your story. janet lederer |
