Thanks for your efforts to reclaim musics humanity from the industrial system that markets our mass-produced mono-culture. We love Sepiachord's crazy-quilt of performers who aren't afraid to be different. Cabaret Decadance has special affection for acts who dance to "a different drummer." In other words, we salute bands who keep the classic dance beats going in the wake of the global epidemic of the highly contagious breakbeat shuffle that is producing a mass-extinction of these rhythms. We salute these musical heroes with the official "Different Drummer" slogan: SAVE THE WALTZ! http://cabaretdecadance.com

ATTENTION: THE ROUGH DRAFT FREEFORM RADIO PROGRAM SAT 7-10 pm www.WXLV.ORG As you already know I just emailed you this as well, provided you gave a real email account here: You obviously have no IDEA what the purpose of this site is. This is a gathering place for GREAT bands of ALL current genres that these people love that could possibly be loved by other steampunks. You must not have the concept that steampunk takes apart and reassembles everything in a better form, including music. In order to DO this, the crew here describes band's sound so that it is heard by the people who want to hear it, who will use it as the soundtrack to what they consider steampunk. you must not understand what music reviewers do. They DESCRIBE music so that others know what they are getting into. It may just be one person's opinion, but hey, every man has one-Including you. YOU are a DJ. DJs play what they are handed (from what you just stated). You dont need to share your opinion on it, all you got to do is press play. a REVIEWER needs to THINK about the music, ANALYZE it and present his OPINION. Where your audience can tune you out or tune you in whenever they feel like it and not think twice about it-- People that come to reviewers are looking for an informed opinion that matches their OWN TASTES-- someone who agrees with their perspective. We Steampunk people have a very DEFINED opinion. The reviewer guy here KNOWS what kind of sound we are looking for. We come here to see what he has to say about steampunk music. Our music means more to us than a mindless flipping through the radio dial until something "sounds good to us". We come here to find what we want to hear without wasting our time. Sepiachord is one of the best steampunk reviewers online. all I suggest to you is to not criticize what you do not understand. There is a severly loyal fanbase in my town alone for Steampunk and Sepiachord. While we will continue to ignore the white noise of the radio and search out exciting and good music, you continue to provide comfortable time-wasters to the airwaves. Good day sir.

Sounds to me like the fellah who posted before me is just mad that you guys don't like to use his favorite word "folk".... I see plenty of great reviews, plenty of great artists (some that can be considered "folk") and plenty of good humor about the whole concept of find words to "catagorize music"... Just because your reviewers choose "Mutant Americana or Ghost Town Country" instead of the term "folk"... this guys got a bug in his craw.... Don't let the old fogeys get you down over word games. Its the MUSIC that matters here. Not the terminology. Keep up the good work, Sepiachord! Keep fighting the good fight! The Steampunk people worldwide appreciate your efforts to find good music.

Iread your review of "Minstrals Daugther..by Jenn Leonarht who I think of as wonderful musician and some one's musicI have championed over the years. I have to agree that she is extrodanary. The trouble with me lies with reviewers ...who seem to think that they have the right to share with the world their perspective and make or break some ones musical vision. I have been on radio for nearly 4 decades and I have to tell you that if I didn't care for some ones music ...I might play it any way just incase that perhaps some one out there might find something in it that perhaps I missed. Ass I read my your review of my friends music I saw you start out ...saying..."The term "folk" is one of the most troublesome in music. It no longer refers to musicians exploring indigenous people's music but instead gets applied to bland, self-indulgent singer/song writer pablum that sets my teeth on edge." I guess that you don't know that folk music is by nature one persons perspective set to music and can be expressed in any manner that the writer chooses to express it as. It doesnot have to be indiginous...or reflect a time that has passed....it is just what it says it is...folk meaning simple expression of a person. I have a problem with reviewers and the fact that they believe that in their wisdom and expierience that some one (a singer song writer that sets your teeth on edge should be worthy of your distane , should not be taken seriously. I am in the minority as it seems that most humans look to be lead by bullies such as your self.....you miss so much....and you try to exclude others from exploring some one's personal human journey....shared with a song that you call pablum.....that word "Pablum" is exactly what you provide...as you have no creative nitch of your own and you insist to us all that you some how have the perspective and taste to advise us on what is good and bad.... I seek not your approval ....sorry to see that somany musicains seem to .
