| Comments: | I just love Peri! I watch Frasier still in rerun to enjoy Peri playing the part of Rozz, the worldy tenderhearted modern women. Her character against Kelsy's prim and perspicacious Frasier was the best pillar of the show. And I just loved her in her movie role as a performer trying to help orphans--She seems truly a tender person---and it comes through in her acting. The episode when Frazier was trying to warm up to a chill audience who just lost their fav celeb radio host to Frazier. Rozz Shills a call to get things started and ends up having a breakthrough that truly displayed the talent of Peri. She is a first rate perfrormer mastering dramatic and comic roles with command!
And being from her part of the country, it is good to hear a familiar dialectical accent on a major TV show. |

I have recently found the episode on DVD titled "Walt Disney Legacy Collection-True Life Adventures, Vol. 4", with Nature's Mysteries which includes movies: "Secrets of Life (1959), Perri (1957) and Mysteries of the Deep (1959) on a 2 Disc set in a metal tin. I got mine at Best Buy Stores and also saw it online at Amazon.com. If you want a copy you should get it soon because they have already discontinued Vol. 1 & 2, currently 3 & 4 are available some places. Enjoy it.

I really enjoyed it and have been looking for a VHS or DVD copy for years. I recently found that Disney released a DVD with this squirrel, Perri on it last year. The title of the DVD is "Walt Disney Legacy Collection-True Life Adventures, Vol. 4" 2 Disc Set with Nature's Mysteries which includes movies: Secrets of Life (1959) and Perri (1957), Mysteries of the Deep (1959). I bought mine at a Best Buy Store and also saw it listed at amazon.com. If you want a copy you better act fast because they are being discontinued and are hard to find now. Hope Peri will be able to finally see the adorable squirrel she is named after.

| Comments: | Hey - what a babe ! We have the good fortune of "Frasier" days on Paramount comedy here and my view of the funniest agrees exactly with Peri's - Ham Radio - I was literally breathless laughing at that one although the part where Niles virtually kills everybody hit me the hardest.
On to the lady herself - pure charm & class & elegance - the acting & characterisation's rather good too. She just shines out at you - and that voice !!! Well, better not get into that too much but I have admired Peri as Ros and vice versa for many years now and really pleased to find these pages and associated links to satisfy some of my curiosity & further my admiration for her. I was looking at "Perri -Disney" (my own namesake) related sites and found out that Peri Gilpin was also named after Perri the Disney squirrel story/movie. In last couple of years I have colected some of the disney Perri memorabilia. Anyway, it is great to discover Peri Gilpin and read of all her accolades. What a priveledge and honour to leave a message that Perri might even read! I notice that no one yet has said 'hello' from Australia...so let me be the first; HELLO from OZ! We get to see Frasier every day here which means of course the obvious treat of admiring the demure and alluring, witty and charming and I bet a hell of a laugh gal; Perri. My favourite choice of meeting or catching up is over a coffee followed by a good glass of wine with lots of laughs! I know this great place....nevermind. I am a retired US Navy Chief, after retirement I took over as head of the environmental engineering dept. at the US Navy's Head Quarters in Washington,DC (On the Chief of Naval Operations Safety & Health Committee for 4 years), on the Sec. of Def.'s Env. Justice Counsel and finally Director for Safety and Environmental Compliance for the entire "Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)" the last few 3 years before retired, working with SS, CIA, NSA,NSC and even inspected the White House. Why have I given you this succinct resume? Well, it's because I wanted you to know how much I loved the character ROZ on Frasier. But more importantly, to thank you for the laughs you provided me. It was during those years I was with the various organizations noted above that I came to love and adore Roz Doyle. You were my favorite character and in many cases carried the show soley with your performances. I am a novice in the entertainment business but I always looked forward to the Fraiser show and was especially delighted when you played larger parts. I'm just a retired old sailor (USN-30 years) and wanted to (for the very first time in my life) write a star and thank them for their contribution to my occasional happiness. I am 60, married and love my wife very much. She made it through Vietnam and Desert Storm with me, taking care on the kids during Nam and the homefront during Desert Storm. I am a 100% Disabled American Veteran (I can walk and do many other things but I do have problems dating back to Nam, I rather not bore you with). Please do not be offended when I say that the character Roz reminded me of a few young ladies of my youth. I suppose that is one of the reasons I just loved you in Frasier. After, reading your BIO, I can relate to many of your sad moments. The last three years of my parents lives I solely took care of them. It wasn't a burden, it was a privilege. Well, I've prattled-on way too long but since you are the first star and probably the one I'll ever write to, I just had to tell you the things I did and the comedic joy you brought me. Even my wife knows you were my favorite character on Fraiser [Oh! I also enjoyed the HallMark special you did, playing the part of a Lawyer]. Hi, Just want to say hello from Ireland to a great comedy actress. To any budding actor/actress out there who wants to know how to nail a gag I offer this piece of advice; Watch her in ANY episode of Frazier and you'll see a total pro' in action. I always found Roz to be the funniest character on the series and when you consider David Hyde Pierce was in the cast that is saying something. Looking forward to her return to our screens. ti voglio ringraziare per i momenti felici che hai saputo trasmettere a me ai miei amici e alle mie amiche. Ho scoperto la tua voce e quella degli altri personaggi del telefilm Frasier in seguito alla 9a serie. Noi Italiani abbiamo la fissazione dei doppiatori e con questo telefilm siamo rimasti fregati dopo la 5a serie. Mi spiego meglio. Quando vedi un telefilm che ti piace, leghi anche vocalmente con i personaggi e diventa davvero fastidioso se da un giorno all'altro vengono cambiate completamente le voci. In parole povere hanno cambiato tutti i doppiatori dopo la 5a serie! La voce di Frasier assomiglia a quella di "Tom Bradford", quella di niles a un adolescente, quelle di martin e di daphne é di secondo livello e la tua pare quella di "zia Betta". Con una fatica incredibile all'inizio, but strong in will to strive to seek to find and not to yield, sono riuscito a godermi le serie dalla 9 alla 11. Non solo, dopo una faticosa salita (per fortuna ho trovato un sito con tutti i testi) e un buon vocabolario, sono riuscito a divincolarmi nel vostro strabiliante slang e a farmi le solite grasse risate. TUTTE LE VOSTRE VOCI SONO MERAVIGLIOSE, FRASIER, DAPHNE, MA SOPRATTUTTO TE, E NON LO DICO PER RUFFIANERIA, HAI UNA VOCE DAVVERO RICCA DI PATHOS, oltre al fatto che sei una donna bellissima (l'ho scritto minuscolo perchè noi italiani abbiamo la reputazione dei baccagliatori, cosa che volevo non sottolineare, anche se tuttavia..) E' DAVVERO UN DISPIACERE CHE IN ITALIA NON POSSIAMO AVERE QUESTO PRIVILEGIO E TE LO DICO A CUOR APERTO..
