| Comments: | We are looking for a finish to apply to 3 newly fabricated 46" x 72" 1" x 1" angle iron doors with exspanded metal filler on the body of the for storing Pole Vault pole in a semi openrack in the Track. We are/were considering powder coating these three doors to a black or red color.
The above project won't probaly be done until July 1, 2002 or after. I have a personal project of Restoring old Trucks. Two trucks are Safety orange, one truck is International red and one truck is O.D. Green (May be Changed). Is it possible to paint individual parts with spray paint from a can as the project advances to protect and upgrade the surface appearance and keep a fairly even color for the completed paint job done a fender at a time? How far down do I need to take existing paints to prep surfaces of parts to be finished? No time limit has been set however the orange units are Snow plow Riggs! Thanks for the Web Site!!! sailboat for which interior sandblasting is impossible. Your website instructions suggest that wire brush grade clean is sufficient. I can Ospho and wonder if this would enhance application and/or performance? Wonder,also,about expectable longevity of job when covered with a coal-tar epoxy or otherwise "normal" steel protective coating. Am confused,(obviously), as to whether product is intended as a top-coat, (why colors)?, or as a surface prep product for subsequent protective coatings. |

| Comments: | Sales are by the case only. The manufacture puts 12
aerosols (all the same color) in a case, 6 quarts, and 4 gallons. The only way to get 2 different colors is to order 2 seperate cases. The red oxide or black is best to go over rust for the 1st coat and then your preference of color to go over as the second coat 1 hour later under normal circumstances (70 degrees and 50% humidity). If the surface is new metal or has no rust then any 1 color works ok, remember white takes 2 hours inbetween coats. |
