Just a pity you didn't have a digital camera with you! I am glad you enjoyed the unique environment so much! I left home in 1972 and only been back twice in 1975 and 1994 unfortunately. I was interested to read of the great variety of penguins, and sheep shearing methods, and I was particularly taken by the total silence you experienced on New Years Day 2003 - far from the madding crowd !
