First one on the list was this site. I guess a couple of years ago my brother signed this "dreambook". this place is really amazing. i think i know what i want to do after high school now!

I was bored out of my mind one night so I decided to surf the net and I came across your site. I Just wanted to tell you that you took some awesome pictures, and it was cool to get a glimpse of the SAS experience.

It was also a HUGE coincidence that you had a pic of someone I knew at LFC, Josh Clark. I couldn't believe it! When I came across the image I said to myself, "That is not who I think it is!" Sure enough when I clicked on the image there was JC. Pretty funny, I mean what are the chances?

Anyhoo, good job. Take care and God bless!

As a freshman I attended a school in Boston and really learned a lot about myself. With SAS I am looking forward to all the diversity and culture that is not a part of my life currently. The only problem with that is my grades from my first semester were very disappointing and I don't know if i'm eligible. The main site said something about if you're in good standing with your current school then apply anyways. If you can, email about that. Also, I was wondering how you paid for everything.....If I have a state scholarship, will that carry over? The school I'm going to now costs a bit more than SAS, however, a lot of it is financial aid. I also have no idea how i would come up with about $2000 or so to take with me b/c currently my ass is broke! I'm working on it though....any other ideas on how i could raise some money for the trip. Thanks a lot, your site it great, I've used up probably my last 2 hours just looking at all the pics and reading about your lil journey. Fill me in with whatever you can, Thanks a lot. Take care, Eric

You probably don't know who I am - I didn't know who you
were until I visited your site and saw your pictures - and
even then, I really only recognize you - don't think we
ever actually met on the ship. But, I'm a fellow S99 alum
and your site is great... brought back a lot of wonderful
memories. The site is really well done and I instantly put
up one of the sunset pics as my wallpaper at work. Your
site is a great way to keep the memories of our amazing,
life-changing experience alive. Know that it is very much
appreciated. Thank you!

Comments:Hey Pete! Well for the past few days I've been smiling to
myself quite a lot. I just found out that I've been
accepted for the Fall 2001 voyage. Anyways, I've been
checking out a lot of SAS alumni websites, trying to see
what tips they have for me, even though it's still a little
early to start any detailed planning. (I'll have to come
back to all of these sites when it gets closer to
departure!). Besides telling someone else about my
excitement, I wanted to write you to let you know I've
really enjoyed looking at your website, it has been really
informative and you've given me a lot of information and
tips that other websites have not. I also wanted to let you
know that I appreciate your letter conserning the Road Rules
series, although I haven't experienced SAS yet, I know
television often changes the way things really are, and I am
also conserned about what type of students will be on the
trip because of the publicity the program has received. I
heard about the program my freshman year in high school, and
later from a family friend that was actually the photography
teacher on your voyage! Anyways, ever since then I have
been determined to be a part of the program. It seemed like
such an amazing once in a lifetime chance to see the world,
it's hard for me to believe that I will finally be able to
go. Okay, now I'm ramblin' so I'm gonna wrap it up. Thanks
for all the time and effort you put into this site. I'm
sure it has and will help many students like myself, as well
as encourage all those who would truely learn and grow from
this experience to actually apply.

Thanks again,
Jasmine

Comments:First of all I want to thank you for sharing your experience
with me. The funny thing is that it was my experience too
and as I looked at your pictures and saw mutual friends I'm
not sure that I ever met you. I know that I saw you around
and may have even met you through AJ or my roommate John
Healy but I guess it just goes to show you how big of a ship
it really is.
Secondly I wanted to thank you for writing that letter about
MTV and the program they did. I liked a couple of the
people on it didn't every really hang out with them to much
just talked every now and then but when I saw the first few
episodes I gave up watching. Just about nothing I saw on
MTV conincided with what I had just experienced and I don't
know about you but I didn't get into that many fights while
I was there. My roommate and I were the best of friends, I
loved getting to do things with different poeple on the
ship and in the countries and when things went wrong I tried
not to complain but make the best of it. Although there's
not much that can be done about that now I will say that CNN
saved the image of SAS by doing the special on the trip
after ours. If you haven't gotten a chance to see the whole
thing I would highly suggest watching it. My study abroad
office as OSU had a copy that I borrowed.
Lastly I just wanted to say how impressive your web site is.
The pictures and stories are amazing. Even your tips list I
would definatly agree with. This is probably the best SAS
site that I have seen. I had a good time reliving old

I look at your site, and have some idea of what your voyage

Comments:Wow. Pete, I was also on S99 and I just read your letter
to/about MTV's Road Rules. It literally brought tears to my
eyes. I agree completely, that they betrayed the program.
Although I do admit that I watched & even videotaped nearly
every episode (so that I could see the ship & relive
whatever memories they might possibly stir up), I must also
admit that when people say "Oh! You went on the booze
cruise that Road Rules was on!" I get very angry & wish it
would've portrayed differently. Unfortunately, the damage
has been done.

experience, though. I came upon this cite from the guster

pic of the A Day crew and have been waiting for someone to
send it to me. Thank you for putting it up. The waving
action picture series is very cool. Mad props there.

having MTV Road Rules being taped while you where on the
trip. Did you see cameras everywhere. Did you get to be
taped? Was it a distraction to the trip or a postive
addition. I'm just curious because I was suppose to go on
the trip when you did, but plans changed. Did I miss out?
Or was it better that I waited to go when Road Rules wasn't
there. I would very much appreciate it. By the way where
