| About you-: | In August I moved to Miami from California. I love it! I am still getting settled in and getting out to explore.
Miami is a new adventure. A self-employed CA attorney since 1998, I decided this year to move on to better things. My goal is to commit to writing and get published. If education tells you anything about a person, I have a B.A. in Theology, a law degree, and an M.B.A. I am however FAR from the BMW/power suit/country club set. I am mostly a contemplative, along the lines of Thomas Merton. Financial independence is important. But wealth is not. After many years of exposure to all kinds of people, I find that those who are impressed by wealth are not themselves impressive. It is the depth, complexity, and universality of one's mind that matters. It is all of those things that are NOT material in a person- the soul- that matters. I am very physically fit and like to get out to do things: cycling around 75 miles per week, swimming, getting sand between my toes. Boho coffeehouses are a fun source of new flavors and sights. Other than that, I am still exploring my new home in Miami. |

| About you-: | First off, I'm a very real person. I'm female, but far from your typical "chic". I'm also an Aquarius, so for those of you that are into Astrology, you know what I am talking about. For the rest of you, it basically means that I am far-out. In my thoughts, opinions and the way I do things. I like to do things my way, and have a tendancy to get cranky when things don't work out the way I want them to. On the flip side, everything I do in life must have some element of fun in it. You only have one chance in this lifetime, don't blow it. Which probably explains some of the reasons I don't want children. I'm selfish in the way that I only want to worry about my own self. I want to do things as they come, not have offspring as an excuse. I want to be able to travel. With one other person. Not two, or three.
Of course there's fear. I observe modern day society, and it scares the crap out of me. My parents brought me up well, keeping me off sugar, forcing me to play outside instead of rotting my brain in front of the boob tube. We ate dinner together every night. All of which are becoming lost arts. The media is no help either. You become one of "them" or your own person, which is than frowned upon by "them". People just can't think for themselves. Lastly, the End of the World. Being Aquarian, I'm supposed to have some insight to the future. I don't have any desire to have any child(or grandchild) of mine see the days when it all ends. World overpopulation is already out of control, why make it any worse? |

| About you-: | I get tired of having to explain to people why I don't want children. I am in a fairly conservative part of the country (although my city is more liberal) and the kinds of people I typically meet can't believe I've made such a life choice.
I know I'm just one of many, many people who don't want children and are thus consigned to a life of loneliness. But I think I'd rather be alone than have kids. I'm intelligent, cultured, weird and highly unusual. I am a geek in numerous ways and I don't see myself ever being anything but. I'm rational, logical and compassionate.
