| Comments: | Spoke With Capt. Tate this past week and found out about this web-site. Great site. I attended LWMA 70-71 and 71-72 school years. Was in "F" Company, which was the band company. My first year company commander was Lt. Johnny Johns. 1st. Sgt was William Schaffer. My Sgt. was Webb Adams. Second year CO was Bulla McClendon. Does anyone remember the creeper? When did that man ever sleep? Any way I have been in law enforcement for most of my working life. Served as Chief of Police in three cities, Two in Alabama and one in Mississippi. Also believe it or not, served in the army went through Basic, AIT and Airborne school at Fort Benning. Served in Germany with the 3rd Infantry Division. (Rock of the Marne) Was assistant gunner on the 4.2 mm mortor. 4 Deuce Rocks. If some don't remember the name I was also affectionatly known as " Chopper Charlie". I am presently employed by the Department of Homeland Security at the Memphis International Airport. Married for the past 24 years with two beautiful daughters. Oldest is 18 and a freshman in college youngest is 12 and in the 7th grade. Any old friends still around let me hear from you. |

It was too dull, so I moved to Houston and became involved in the international oil trading business. Now that's not so dull!!!! Boy, I sometimes wish I could go back to the dull banking days. LWMA didn't teach me about risk taking. I've had to learn that the hard way through on the job training. I remember everyone in the '65-'67 years so everyone out there from that era let me hear from you. |
