Just thought I'd say hello. I've only just seen your photos of Peru as Leroy never told me that he'd got an email from you. The photos are great and you look like you're really settling in. Ben and Heidi came over this weekend. They're doing really well in Barcelona and seem very happy there. We hope to visit them sometime soon. I don't know if we'll ever get to visit you all the way over there but I hear you'll be back soon anyway so you can show us more of your photos and tell us all about your experiences. The cong here is managing although we're not as many as we were but there are a few visitors who are thinking of moving in so that should hopefully make up some numbers. Could use a line of Tomahawks on the line as statics as below: G-BGBW G-BGGE G-BGGI G-OATS these have the white and yellow paint scheme from the factory. G-BJUR is a later SE model with dark blue/light blue scheme. downloaded my original copy last year and have not flown "foreign" since. I have flown VFR (at dusk because I like to follow the street lights) and have followed the major road systems that I know so well and never got lost once. Police HQ looks great, only one problem - we don't have an Eurocopter. Dyfed-Powys were going to buy one but the specification did not match our requirements. At the end of this month we will be taking delivery of an Augusta 109 Power. This will enable us to fly a firearms team up to Welshpool and allow the pilot & observer to return, without having to refuel. I believe this would not have been possible in the Eurocopter. green hills around Leicester. Have downloaded the Aug 99 version instead, to see if that will cure the problem as the version I am using was downloaded in Jan 99. Just to make you feel less guilty Paul. I had already flown in a Twin Pin, over Sydney harbour in an ex Malaysian Air Force aircraft. I sent Nick a copy of the pic I took of the Opera House on the trip. I was flying your earlier EM scenery this afternoon, the first time since I fitted the new 3D video card yesterday. I've been flight simming for many years and all that time wishing that I could obtain scenery for my local area (Lincoln). I was brouht up in the countryside of 'Bomber County' next door to a WWII airfield (RAF Metheringham) and all I ever wanted to do is fly. To cut a very long (and boring) story short I've just obtained the internet and there it was before my very eyes...a site dedicated to UK scenery and someone had written something for the East Midlands. Yippee. But then, before I could download anything the piracy issue came along and that was that. Paul, I understand your reluctance to release your creations only to find that people who's only talent is larceny try to make money out of your honest hard work, but please would you make an old man very happy and let me have a copy of your scenery covering Lincoln. I bought a scenery package from PC World some time ago, it was for North Wales I think, but it was full of bugs and they wouldn't take it back. UK. The different modules make it an "interesting exercise to get everything loaded correctly and also layered correctly, but the end result is certainly worth it. I seem to be missing some runway textures on a number of bgl files, the runway is there, so is the surrounding scenery, but no actual texture - will investigate and come back to you when I've identified them. Also recommended your site to my good filightsimming mate Trevor (ttrvor@york.freeserve.co.uk) who is downloading today. Also, where can I get hold of the dynamic scenery for Wales? a year, I'm delighted to return to Runway 27 and find that you're still at it. Very nice work. It is a shame FS98's scenery buffer isn't larger, even with the patch installed. I've found the same quirks to spring up with regard to creating the many mountains of Vermont, including whole areas disappearing due to one too many API files, and slower frame rates when all is to my satisfaction. At least one thing is certain...one must love to trouble-shoot when designing FS scenery! Hope you're well. Kevin Plant |

A labour of love, I'm sure, but so much better than you're ever likely to get from the 'pile it high, sell it cheap' economics of commercial offerings. Last weekend I flew (for real) in a Cessna with a friend of mine who has a PPL from Barton over to Gt Ormes head and back, then repeated the journey later in FS98. Uncannily similar, I have to say (once I'd fed in the obligatory 2500 cloud base and 15 miles vis for my part of the world) - although the thousand upon thousand of caravans near the beaches at Prestatyn and Rhyll don't appear in your scenery. Perhaps the world is better without them ! |

scenery, especially as its mainly in my home territories D&C privately you may be interested to know that not a single copy of the offending software has been found on the shelves of any store, in truro,falmouth,penzance,barnstaple,copies were founf in a couple of private stores in plymouth, but after quoting westcountry television (my employer) to them they were quickly removed! did see a copy at pc world cardiff but that was being taken down on instructions from h/o well done !! john rossetti |

Have used and admired your scenery for some time now - your SW scenery is the best for FS98 that I have seen. I was brought up in Newquay, and now live in Torpoint, near Plymouth. There is no `flighsim` kick better than flying over a detailed, accurate, and above all recognisable version of your own patch ! Anyway, am writing here in relation to the latest piracy incident (I assume this is the `More Combat Flight Sim` detailed on AVSIM). I hope your scenery re-appears on the net soon, in the mean time best of luck with any legal action. Should you decide on other means of distribution (commercial or otherwise) please advise. The Wales scenery is fantastic as l live in hawarden, nothing is more exciting than flying over your house. I work at Hawarden airport and see the Belgua take of every day, so the dynamic scenery of it was fantastic to watch. The real thing makes so much din you can't hear who you talking to on the phone. Any further enhancements of the airport in the next version of wales? I ask this because were l work (Hawarden Air) is just one building and some gas tanks which isn't that realistic. In actual fact the old fire station, a hanger, parked aircraft, and the old armoury and boiler house exist. It is on the far side of the airport facing the Dee, not the British Aerospace side. Just dropped in to say hello and let you know how much I love your scenery. After spending a fair amount of time looking at a lot of scenery on the web and downloading so much that my HD in flightsim is up to 1.5 g, I can appreciate the time and effort you and the UKDT people put into the great scenery.
