| Any other things you'd like to say?: | I'm a real Jyou fan, but I like Koushiro a lot too. I'd like to say that I dislike mimato. To each his own, if you like it, that's your preference, but I can't stand it. Most arguments I get that back up the validity of mimato in the series consist generally of 'mimato rulz, u sux'. The nature of the fans is apalling. I will explain what started the whole mimato mess right here and now, and it's true, whether mimato fans will admit it or not. They took the most attractive male and female characters and stuck them together in a relationship with no regard to personality. In almost all mimato fanfics I've read, (the good ones, not the ones where there are spelling errors every three words) one character or both is twisted out of personality to fit the desires of the author. While this sometimes, with a good author, of course, is a good idea, most mimato fans (no offense the exceptions) have simply one goal: to make sure Mimi and Yamato end up in a relationship, and nothing else matters.
I also have yet to find solid evidence where mimato is actually supported in the series. Yamato rarely even talks to Mimi, except to complain about her complaining, and that doesn't even happen often. Jyou and Mimi converse with each other a lot, and Gomamon's comic relief dialougue hints at some sort of relationship. Forgive me for taking up so much of your time, I have realized that I started to ramble. While your decision to like mimato or not is your business, I highly recommend that you don't. Not only will you run into such people as the kind I described above, but they will have even less intelligence. (If that's possible) I will admit that there are good authors out there who are fans of mimato. With good writing, the coupling can work. However, the fan base for that coupling is so large, that the stupidity of many overshadow the quality of the few. If any mimato fans, or people who didn't like what I just said, would like to flame me, my email address is right there for you to see. So go ahead. I have no problem defending my position. Praises are also welcome, but unfortunately, anger is a more driving emotion than sympathy or empathy. |

I, personally, prefer the Jyou/Sora/Yamato triangle (Musouka and shimmercat corrupted me!) but Jyoumi is my favourite couple so this triangle appeals to me too... Especially since the three are my favourite Digidestined from Season 01. The rants are great, but I'd like to see more on the fanfic section. It's almost deserted.
