| Comments: | My ancestors are Durs Schaublin (Shively) and on down (up?). My paternal ggrandmother was Agnes Shively who married Frank Manning, in Nebraska. They were divorced and know very little about Frank Manning. My paternal grandmother was Harriet Fern Manning who married James Thomas Hartford also in Nebraska. My father is James Elbert Hartford born in Central City, NE 10/14/28. My mother is Dorothy Anjeline Norton (S. Dakota), who produced me, Pamela Kaye (Hartford) Clarke in 1954. My parents were married in CA after the Norton family moved from the Dakotas to sunny southern CA. My dad was in the service which took him to CA where my parents met. The elder Hartfords eventually settled in Lane County, Oregon with their family in tow after their move from Central City. My ggrandmother Agnes made the move to Oregon as well, as did a couple of her brothers. I have over 20 2-inch notebooks of our family going back over 3,000 years. Most of our families are of the royal blood of europe, etc. all the way to Africa. We have a lot of history in our ancestry.
