| Comments: | My husbands was William Henry Latimer, born in Rhode Island in 1927 and passed away in January 2003, his dad was also William Latimer born in Rhode Island in 1898 and passed in 1973 He married Amelia RHODES in 1922.
His father was William LATIMER Born 1863 in Belfast Ireland, married Mary Jane BEATTIE in 1895 and died 1913 in RI. She was born in Ten Mile Town County Tyrone Ireland in 1857, His father was George LATIMER born in County Tyrone Ireland married Bessie LEONARD also from Conty Tyrone Ireland. Anyone related to any of these, This is where I stop except for Bessie Leonard, her father was John LEONARD and he married Margaret PRICE. It would be great to find more LATIMERS. My granddad was William Latimer who was born in 1918. His eldest daughter was Margeret Latimer who was born in 1940, There was also Esther, Anne, William, Josie,Mary, James and John. I am trying to work out if we were related to Andrew Latimer who was chief steward on Titanic. I believe he was my Great Great uncle.

| Comments: | My name is Robert Carson Latimer, I was born in
southwestern Manitoba Canada. My father (Robert James Latimer) was born in Spy Hill Sask. Canada b1917. He had two brothers, and a sister. His mother (Lillian Ogalthorpe) died at child birth in 1921. As a result, the children were adopted by other families in the area. So, I have Uncles who have different last names George Milroy, and Frank Taylor ( d1984 ). My father was raised by his aunt (Margret Walker), and kept the family name. My grandfather (Robert Latimer) d1945 aged 55years, to the best of my knowledge immigrated to Canada around 1910. He had two brothers and three sisters that also came to Canada around the same time. James Latimer, Jack Latimer, Margret Latimer (Walker), Mary Latimer (Cameron) and Lee Latimer (did not marry). There was also another brother who came to Canada (Bill Latimer), whom returned to Scotland shortly after WW1 (this is not confirmed). They all settled in the Brandon Manitoba area. My Grandfather remarried in 1937/38 to a widow Ms. Mary Drummond, this union did not produce any children (thank God!! it is confusing enough already with all the different surnames). I was fortunate that I had the chance to talk with some of the people who knew my Grandfather, and got a impression of what kind of a person he was. He was a good horseman, well respected for his wrangler abilities, and training methods. There were several newspaper articiles written about his accomplishments during town/county fairs etc. Should you have any information regarding this branch of the Latimer family, please let me know.
