Hey, I stumbled onto a Gamepro magazine about the time I was 15, and was spellbound by Sega CD's Snatcher! Reminds me of Terminator - Blade Runner - Akira all rolled up into ONE!!! ^_^ Now after looking at everything, I am thinking of using either NScripter or FreeBASIC (if I cannot figure out how to use FreeBASIC, I am going to straight to freegin QuickBASIC 4.5!!!) to make a Cyber-Noir Visual Novel called "Illusions Of Love In A Martini Glass..." That is if I am still interested in making such a such a project... Who knows, I might add RPG Elements, and make an Anime or Traditional RPG like Wizardry... Nice fan site you got set up here snatcher bering up good memory for me i was lucky to play it back then on the sega cd with other titles such as LunarSS and LunarEB and PopfulMail.Any ways i ended up miss playing snatcher afther all these years due to the fact i traded or sell my genesis and segacd just for money for the next generation of console some thing i feel shameful to this day. Since then i wanted to play snatcher agian i did go through of the trouble of geting the saturn version for fun but afther hearing it wasn't perfect i got the pc-engine version next this version to me is a little closer to the sega cd version not prefect but nothing better at this point. I found about this site when i was looking for a walk through for policenauts another game i gave into importing for my saturn cuse in the end i got tried of waiting for a english release. I'll never understand konami when they cancel the u.s version of policenauts for the saturn. Realy a great game and to this day i realy think konami should release the psx version of policenauts in the u.s still they should rethink there stance on it.Agian great site nice to see there's gamers out there still who care for snatcher and policenauts these two games should not be forgotten. | |

I just thought I would say this is a very well created site with a little bit of everything in it. Now on to the bad news. Just thought I would update on the issue with Konami re-releasing Snatcher and Policenauts. I just e-mailed them about a week ago and the returned an e-mail stating that they are not considering bringing those games back on the market. I know it sucks. Snatchers is one of my favorite games and I just got Policenauts for the Sega Saturn off of Ebay and the game is great. The only thing is is that I don't speak a lick of Japanese and I feel I am missing out on an excellent Story. Thanks to the walkthrough on this site the game will be more enjoyable. | |

Hey thanks man, I just received my Speacial Edition Policenauts for Sega Saturn from Ebay today and now you have a full walkthrough for it. How tight is that? I also have the Zoom Tracks and Black Disc soundtracks. I am planning on getting a Sega CD and Snatcher from Ebay (big bling I know) so I don't have to go to my friends house to play it all the time (hahahaha Jim). Oh and also Jim and I are planning on making an amatuer movie on Snatcher (no charge since that is illegal). Anyways peace out. | |

someone plllease help me!! i just got the iso of snatcher an i love it but im stuck! this might soundpathetic, but i think its a problem with my iso or somthing. when i get in the turbo cycle to go to the ruins at the very beginning of the game, i think it freezes. i mean, it just shows gillian sitting in the seat. and it looks like hes driving past thisngs and what not, but it never ends! what do i do!!?? i tried pushing buttons and stuff, but this thing has been going for like 15 min, and ive tried like 4 times. the game is making sound, and its moving, its not like a still screen. someone please help me! | |

Great site! Despite all the criticism, I always valued my Sega CD for the dozen or so decent games to come out for the system, and Snatcher is definitely up on that list.
I rented and played through it back when it came out, and now wish I had it in my collection. Never did play Policenauts unfortunately, I was very dissapointed that they didn't release a Snatcher/Policenauts package for the Playstation...and now Sega chooses not to release Shenmue 2 for dreamcast in the states...curse these out of prod Sega systems! I also enjoyed reading about all the subtle and not so subtle differences between the versions of Snatcher, I always love to see how America gets all (or most of) the violence, but not the sex...go figure! Ok, I can understand changing the age of the women targeted as sexual interests to be that legal age, but other than that I have ALWAYS been extremely frustrated at the amount of sex themed censorship in US translations of video games. I really enjoyed Metal Gear Solid & Metal Gear Solid 2, but I think Snatcher entralled me in a different sort of way...I have always been fond of the gritty & futuristic "Blade Runner-esque" type settings found in games like Snatcher, Rise of the Dragon etc. Snatcher; Great game back then, great game today. | |

I don't know how many people still come to the site, but I'll sign it anyway. I stumbled upon my old Sega CD Snatcher game about a week ago searching around in my basement. Needless to say, it was my favorite game back in the day, and if my Sega CD hadn't crapped out several years back, I'd be playing it right now. Snatcher and The Adventures Of Willy Beamish were basicly the only two good games to come out on the damn system, but they sure were fun to play. I hold out some hope that Snatcher and Police Naughts will come to america someday. Just like Square did with Chrono Trigger, I hope Konami will do with these games, but until then, I'll always remember this great game. I sound like I'm eulogizing my dog or something, so I'm gonna get outta here.

Came to the site to remember the good old days of when i owned a copy of snatcher,(sold it with my SEGA CD to get my PLAYSTATION in 1996 because was told that SNATCHER was going to be re-released on the PSX which it never was)And came out a smarter gamer and a even bigger love for in my opinion,THE BEST SEGA CD GAME AND ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES.
But what really got to me was the break down of a game I never got to play and wished i did which is of coarse POLICENAUTS.But as I looked into the story and the characters,I noticed one name that put a chill up my spine. THE NAME WAS MERYL S.(DONT REMEMBER HOW TO SPELL LAST NAME). Why this name you ask,Well the next big KOJIMA-SAN game METAL GEAR SOLID 2 SONS OF LIBERTY is sopposed to take place after the bad ending of METAL GEAR SOLID in which MERYL dies at the end of the game.Now in MGS2,The ninja returns , but the original ninja GREY FOX is dead.COULD THE NEW NINJA BE MERYL?????????? Also one more little thing I realised was when the KONAMI screen shows up in MGS on the PSX,It plays a little of the title track of policenauts "END OF THE DARK". HIDEO KOJIMA sure is funny. I only hope now that the PSX or PS1 if you will ,will get to see these two wonderful titles here in north america since the system is coming to an end.I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS SERIES PACKAGED AS A SNACHER ANTHOLOGY COLLECTION.
