Comments: Hi Judy, Jess and crew,

thanks so much for what can only be described as one of the best times both Sonali and I had. We definitely had a memorable time, and largely due to the patience, kindness and so much info you all had.

I won't be forgetting Judy for a long time - my guardian angel when it came to swimming out to the seals. To my surprise, it was a pleasureable experience....and not scary!

We will be back!
thanks again,

Comments: Ben, Jess and the Skipper and crew of Polperro run a great trip. Even though I spent as little time on the boat as possible as I was the first one in the water and last out. Even my 3yo was welcomed and gave it a go in the water. We'll be back. So will our friends. This is something everyone should experience. At least twice!

Comments: Dear Jess, Ben, Troy and Judy,

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the most incredible experiences of our lives! Aside from marrying my lovely Steve, I can definitely say this was the best day of my life! Swimming with wild dolphins has always been a dream of mine and I am still buzzing from achieving it. To see two dolphins appear from out of no where just an arms reach beneath us, was just amazing. The 20 strong pod was incredible to see from the boat and I feel so very honoured to have been so close to such special mammals. The seals were also fantastic to see up close. I've not stopped talking about it!

I am amazed by the unique wildlife in the Sorrento area, but equally sad to hear that dredging and increase in ferries and boats have already greatly affected the underwater wildlife. I hope conservationists can convince the government and other related parties that this is a place to be nurtured not exploited for the sake of money. If ever there are petitions fighting the dredging, please send them our way! Similarly, to hear about the fishing lines and plastic bags affecting the seals (and other wildlife) reassures why I so passionately push conservation in the classroom (I'm a teacher) I think school students should experience the Polperro to really get a sense of empathy and understanding of how pollution big or small, can harm our sea creatures and ecosystems.

Thanks to you all for friendliness and excellent customer service. Everything about the Polperro experience was flawless. And the hot date scones were very tasty. Thank you!

We appreciate you sharing your extensive marine knowledge with us and look forward to coming back later on in the year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Swimming with dolphins has been a lifetime ambition for me since I was a little girl, the fact that we saw so many was a dream come true but you guys made the whole experience even better.

Jess, we saw you later that evening and you know I was still on a high from the afternoon swim....needless to say, I recommended Polperro to everyone I spoke to that evening and everyone I have spoken about it to since!

Thank you so much once again, I'm still smiling from the experience and will definately be back.

Thank you ever so much for such an enjoyable experience.
Seeing Seals and Dolphins up close was very special. We would epecially like to thank Judy for looking after our youngest daughter who wasn't very confident in the water. Both our daughters were thrilled with the trip and want us to buy a small boat of our own! Thanks also to Ben for all the cups of tea and hot chocolate and it was worth being on the trip for the scones alone! Best wishes, Kitty, Steve & girls.

Thank you so much for a wonderful day today (1st Feb 09). Even though the dolphins were "otherwise occupied" with more important things (and who would blam them), I had a fantastic time & can't wait to get back to Sorento to go out again... spent the trip home figuring out how to get back as much as possible. You all do an amazing job. If you're ever arranging a trip to swim with the cuttlefish count me in! Thanks from the Stawell girls :)
Cheers. Will see you again soon.

Its an amazing feeling when a dolphin swims right underneath you and seems to look you in the eye and smile! They seem such fun creatures and most importantly its wonderful that you visit them in their natural habitat. Im returning to Australia with my husband in March and this is very much on my wishlist to do again.

Comments: I had the pleasure of swimming with the Port Phillip Bay Dolphins on the morning of Tuesday 29th January 2008, a truly breathtaking experience.

As a poor swimmer, I had my concerns and was nervous about entering the water. However, with reassurance from Ben and my first close up sighting of a truly wild dolphin, these fears were soon forgotten.

I cannot put clearly into words the feelings of awe, respect, peacefulness and of course excitement that came over me. You can only truly understand it when you experience it for yourself.

I experienced something very special and life changing that morning. I was reminded of who I truly am. After having studied very hard for my zoology degree, I find myself in a 9 to 5 office job with few prospects. This has given me the motivation I needed to get myself out of the rat race and back to a way of life I know and love.

I would like to thank Ben, Lisa and Troy for their reassurance, contagious enthusiasm and most importantly, the life changing experience.

Comments: A number of years ago I went on a Polperro Dolphin Swim. It was one of the most memorable and magical experiences of my life. With a dolphin less than an arm's reach on either side and one beneath me rolling onto its back and looking into my mask I laughed out loud with pleasure (not a real clever thing to do while under water, but it was worth it)! But it was worth it. I went home on a high, the variety of which would be near impossible to describe to a non-dolphin swimmer.

However right now I am sad and concerned - concerned that the current bay deepening exercise will damage the environment sufficiently to compel these creatures to leave, or worse.

Comments: Andrew and I, along with three other members of our family swan with the dolphins and seals on Tuesday 8th January 2007. Despite my initial reservations, and with the encouragement of Lisa and Ben, I got back into the water. Very shortly afterwards, I was holding on to the boats duckboard when Lisa shouted that dolphins were directly below me. With my head submerged, I saw the most wonderful sight, three dolphins within touching distance of me, an adult and two younger ones directly to my left. It appeared they were looking at me and then as suddenly as they appeared they had gone. What truly magnificent creatures they are! Andrew also experienced a close encounter and that experience combined with the visit to the seal colony was definately a high light of our holiday in Australia. We have told anyone and everyone who will listen about the visit and would recommend Polperro to others. A hugh thank you must go to Lisa and Ben, without whom it is likely I would have missed out on this truly spirital experience, and to the skipper who found the dolphins for us. Sharyn & Andrew, UK.

Friday's swim in Port Phillip bay with you as our guides for our party of 9 was memorable for many reasons: the boat ( which I could live on); the crew, who made sure every swimmer was comfortable in the water, with the seals and with the dolphins (and made sure the dolphins were comfortable too); the bunch of 10 and 11 year olds, who learnt a great deal from your stories about dolphins, seals and sea-birds; the hot chocolate and hot scones after the cold sea; and our extraordinary good luck in going out on a calm afternoon without hot sun. Still singing. Thanks to you all.

Comments: On the 10th of December 2006, for Lauras 8th birthday we decided to take her on a trip to swim with the dolphins & seals, She had the time of her life. (not to metion we also enjoyed the day) just the look on her face said it all. 24 hours later we are still hearing her version of the day, the dolphins this the seals that, and poor Jess your ears must be burning, your name has been said aprox 1000000 times. She wants to know if she can do the swim again, i said sure maybe for your 12th birthday, "oh no i want to go next year" so guys looks like you will see us all again next year. Many thanks to the cook, the skipper and the guides the trip will not be forgotten for a long time.
Merry xmas and a great and safe new year.
Warm regards

Comments: I went on the dolpgin swim trip this week and although the water was freezing cold, it was a great experience to see the dolphins come close and look at me.
What I appreciate most is the way the Polperro crew does this trips in order not to disturb the wild dolphins in their natural environment. Please continue like this!!!
It's absolutely not necessary to touch or feed a dolphin, it's much better to experience the dolphins coming to you becauce they are curious and interested, and not because they are trained to do so.
Regards,
Markus (Vienna, Austria)

Comments: I wanted to thank you for a very memorable day. I swam with the dolphins and my husband observed on Sunday 16th April 2006. We loved the Polperro and the crew were very supportive and caring and enthusiastic. All the crew went that extra bit to make our day enjoyable and rewarding. We saw a lot of dolphins and those wonderful wetsuits kept me warm. The whole experience was memorable and everyone I have told about my magical adventure wants to do it as well. We will be back again.
Thanks again to the wonderful crew.

Comments: My husband and myself decided to have a quiet weekend break in Sorrento, and came accross a pamphlet to swim with the dolphins, we booked this tour ( I was petrified ) and it was one of the most memorable times of my life, it was amazing. We are now 10 years on and decided to have a weekend easter break down at Sorrento, but this time we are taking the kids, to let them have one of their most memorable times. Our kids have been so jealous of their parents swimming with the dolphins, that we have to give them their turn, I basking in my glory for long enough. Polperro, I'm so glad you guy's are still around, for my kids to enjoy their first experience of swimming with the dolphin's.

We had one of the best days of our lives with you on sunday. the weather was kind to us and the dolphins even kinder not to mention the big fat seal showing us his huge catch of snapper what a sight to see.The service on board the Polperro was fantastic with yummy scones and hot chocolate and the company was very friendly and educational. you should get an award in customer service. It was great to catch up with Ben (ole school buddy)Great to see some things havent changed even though sorento has changed so much.Looking forward to our next adventure with you all. thanks again for a fantastic experience.

Comments: My father has always had a strong connection with the sea and especially dolphins, so not surprisingly he has always dreamed of swimming with dolphins. He has tried a few times without any success but that all changed last weekend when him, mum and I went on your boat. Dad had an absolute blast and was grinning from ear to ear for hours afterwards.
Thank you to the fantastic crew of Stephan, Ben and Troy -you guys made the day all that more special.

Comments: In spite of the fact that the day was cold and wet, my wife and I really enjoyed our trip. Our friend with whom we were staying actually went in the water, and while she admitted to being terrified, she wouldn't have missed it! We all thought the crew were excellent, and their enthusiasm was obvious.
