That split second underwater when you look down and there are 3 dolphins swimming right underneath you just takes the breath away! And then to hear them chatting away! The weather was the epitome of what Melbourne summer can be and the children said it was the best Christmas present they'd had, even their best expereince ever! Even though the children were familiar with snorkelling, the particular attention of Ben and Jess really helped make their expereince even better. Jack and Ailis (and me!) were clearly quite moved by being able to be in the water with the dolphins and seals and to watch them watching us.

The snorkelling with the seals was an amazing experience although no dolphins were out to play on this day which left me a little disheartened but everything about the trip was so well planned and would come back in a heartbeat to be able to fulfill my dream in the future. We had a great morning swimming with dolphins & seals in Sorrento this weekend just gone & I'd like to highly recommend you guys to anyone - not just for the event but for your advocay and passion to protect the dolphins, bay, etc... Guests - be prepared for a bit of a rush jumping in & out of the water with snorkel & mask. If you haven't snorkelled before, get a bit of practice in first if you can. And listen to the instructions! :>) To balance this - a swim with the seals was much more relaxed and really fascinating. I booked last year for visitors from O/S and they had an absolute ball swimming, but unfortunately my children missed out. So this year, when once again we had a visitor from O/S, it was a no brainer as to where to take her. Needless to say, we all had a fantastic time on board. Jess, Ben and Troy were friendly, hospitable and very informative right thru the trip. They are very lucky to be able to work in an environment that they passionate about and love! | Comments: | What a Fantastic day out!! I was very lucky to find the 2-4-1 offer on the Polperro Dolphin Swim but having experienced it I would have happily paid full price...or more!! We attended the swim on the afternoon of 28th October, myself and a friend who was on holiday from England - I don’t use the word 'Perfect' very often but that’s exactly what the day was from start to finish! You guys were so welcoming, and it was lovely that you took the time to learn names and addressed everybody by name the entire day! You were all very knowledgeable about the Dolphins and seals and you could tell that you all love what you do!

A Big thank you to the crew for making a fabulous trip for myself and my wife. The water was cold at first but wearing wetsuits and the excitement of swimming with Dolphins and Seals. The feeling of swimming in cold water soon disappeared. How could you feel anything but excitement when a young seal is looking at you under the water from 2 feet away. we saw heaps of seals and dolphins galore. | Comments: | Myself and my girlfriend joined the Polperro team on Wednesday 20 Jan, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The seals were fantastic, and it was so amazing to be so close to them. It took a little while to find the dolphins, and they didn't really want to play on the day, but we did get a few good moments where they swam close underneath us when we were in the water, and it was awesome to see them swimming next to the boat and riding the bow.
The team were fantastic, and it was clear that they are all very committed to ensuring we have a good time, but also to ensuring the animals and the environment are respected. Swimming with wild dolphins has always been a dream of mine and I am still buzzing from achieving it. To see two dolphins appear from out of no where just an arms reach beneath us, was just amazing. The 20 strong pod was incredible to see from the boat and I feel so very honoured to have been so close to such special mammals. The seals were also fantastic to see up close. I've not stopped talking about it! I am amazed by the unique wildlife in the Sorrento area, but equally sad to hear that dredging and increase in ferries and boats have already greatly affected the underwater wildlife. I hope conservationists can convince the government and other related parties that this is a place to be nurtured not exploited for the sake of money. If ever there are petitions fighting the dredging, please send them our way! Similarly, to hear about the fishing lines and plastic bags affecting the seals (and other wildlife) reassures why I so passionately push conservation in the classroom (I'm a teacher) I think school students should experience the Polperro to really get a sense of empathy and understanding of how pollution big or small, can harm our sea creatures and ecosystems.
