| Comments: | Hello all, I flew a King Air U21(C90 unpressurized)in Cambodia 2005, as a part of a project to map Cambodia. Quite nostalgic being that the U21 I was flying probably started its career in that part of the world in the 60's...years before I was born.
I love the Country, and have dreams of retiring there. My wife is Khmer, and we live in the U.S. where I am a corporate pilot flying Citation CJ3's. Hope to be able to fly in Cambodia again in the future, Thanks for progressing the general aviation there. If I have time while visiting the in laws next year I'll try to get in contact with the club. Sok sa bai, Pete |

| Comments: | Your webpage is very informative for me. I'm a complete beginner to weight training. I'd like to make gains as fast as possible, but when I ask people how I should go about it all I keep getting different answers. And for those who are just getting started it can be very confusing. I understand what you are going through because I went through the something when I began bodybuilding. We all have to start somewhere, like there http://steroidportal.com/, and it can be overwhelming at times because people often make things more complicated then they really are. When you put aside all of the hype you can see that building muscle and losing fat is not very complex. What I am going to do is outline a good weight training, nutrition, and supplementation program that you can follow. You do not need to have much exercise equipment. In fact you can make great gains by training in a small home gym. So by gradually increasing the workload you put on your muscles your body will become bigger and stronger.. I'm looking for something else. |

| Comments: | Note: Beware of the message from Miss Peace, etc., regarding the $9 million dollars, etc. It is a very well known scam, and it has been circulating here in the U.S. for several years, under several formats. These letters come from various locations around the world, a lot of them from Nigeria. Be advised, these people are under investigation by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and also Interpol. Many of them have already been arrested and incarcerated. I live in Texas, USA, and have many times received the very same letter, and other letters like it, in my own personal email. Nearly everbody with an email address has received these notices at one time or another. It is a major scam where they try to trick you to send them a certain amount of money, or provide them with a bank account number, etc., which leads a trail right straight to you, and sooner or later, you will be recieving a visit from law enforcement authorities for being involved in the scheme. It is happening a lot. I just wanted to tip you off to what is going on, there are a lot more details involved, too many to post here. Be advised. |

| Comments: | I hear that 3 planes have arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport. They seem to be for the aeroclub... Does anyone have more good news?
Could one of these planes be based in Siem Reap?? at least on week-ends. Raining season is coming to its end, it will be perfect for flying. Can somebody check on this?? Thanks, Florent |

| Comments: | Good Luck on your flying club. I was with the U.S. Air Force stationed in Vietnam from 1963-1964. While there I learned to fly at the Aero Club De Sud Vietnam located at the Saigon International Airport. Roger Routin was the Chief Instructor. |

| Comments: | I manage and operate private aircraft, namely, Piper Seneca IV and V, Citation Bravo and other mid sized private aircraft. We are forming a Flying Club in the former Intrnational airport. Once it is ready WE would like to affliate ourselves with your Club, so as to have mutual arragement on handling of our aircraft. Please advise us of your intrest on this. We are trying to form a common understanding amongst all clubs in the ASEAN region so that we the private owners can benefit from this by way of cheaper handling charges and Landing charges. Regards

| Comments: | Hi Folks,
Just a quick note to thank you all for your hospitality during our visit to Cambodia during January. We had the most wonderful time in your country, even though it was quite a culture shock for us both. Our friends are quite fascinated by our experiences during the trip - you can probably expect a sudden infux of Kiwi visitors to both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in the near future! Our local Kodak Express store also celebrated when I took in 19 rolls of film to be processed on our return. The closest we actually got to an aeroplane (apart from the airline flight in a Bangkok Airways ATR) was finding the Mil-8T and MiG17 in the War Museum at Siem Reap. I discussed the practicalities of setting up and financing an Aero Club with Remi in particular, if there is any further help that I can offer, I'd be glad to hear. Regards to you all, Peter Lewis & Meredith |

| Comments: | Hi,
I am a private pilot and will be visiting Cambodia between December 21st and January 5th. After reading the comment from Peter Lewis from New Zealand dated November 24th, I was happily surprised to find out that I was not the only non-resident interested in aviation in Cambodia. Cambodia strikes strikes me, on top of its incredible cultural and natural heritage, as having a fabulous aviation potential, if only it could develop the infrastructure and facilities necessary to exploit it. Maybe, pooling resources with established organizations for the maintenance will aleviate the difficulties in promoting general aviation there. As for myself, I am very interested in the developments in Cambodia in that respect, and like Peter Lewis, would very much like to meet aviation-minded people in Cambodia. It would be nice to meet Peter Lewis during the short time that both of us will be there. Thank you for any information or assistance that you may be able to offer. Kind regards, David Fessaguet Luxembourg |

| Comments: | Greetings,
My name is Peter Lewis, and I am a New Zealand citizen. I hold a current NZ pilots licence, and I am a member of an Aero Club here in Auckland. I will be visiting Cambodia from 2nd January - 10th January 2003, spending time at Phnom Penh and Siem Reap/Angkor. While I understand that there are currently no facilities for me to actually fly during my visit, I would very much like to make contact with aviation-minded people in Cambodia while I am in the country. Thank you for any assistance that you may be able to offer, Regards, Peter Lewis |

| Comments: | arun sour s’dey! I apologize, but I cannot make a comment in earnest about the future, without referencing the past. So let me just say, that it is with sincere and deep felt emotion, that I make entry into the CFC online guestbook.
This year marks the 27th anniversary for those of us proud Americans… pilots, mechanics and ground personnel, who voluntarily left our homes and families in March of 1975 to fly daily, multiple, 96,000 pound planeloads, of American Texas rice to a besieged Phnom Penh. The feeling then, was one of utter despair and hopelessness in April of 1975, as we leveled off initially at just above tree top height, after taking off from Pochentong for what would be my last flight in our magnificent Douglas DC-8-63F cargo jet. Our Air America SAR UH-1, signaled he was RTB to Saigon as well. We made it! Our aircraft was riddled with bullet holes, sections of inboard flaps hanging from the structure due to 122 mm rocket damage, and with not a single tire remaining intact! From within the sweltering cockpit, I stood up, took off my flak jacket and steel helmet to look back down at my Cambodian friends and co-workers, most of who, I knew at that very moment, were looking up at me, and I broke down and cried. You see, I learned, first hand, about the amazing resilience and strength of Cambodian people in 1975, and again later in the refugee camps along the Thai border starting in 1979. Just for the record, I personally sponsored many Cambodians resettle in the United States. We as human beings are destined to be put to the test at various times in our lives. It may be forced upon some of us in battle, during war… or due to a tragic debilitating illness, or something else. But for sure, at some point in our lives, our character and personal integrity WILL be tested, to see if we have the strength to “do the right thing” and make the right choices. I think that the possibilities for a successful Cambodian Flying Club are fantastic! As we say in aviation… “The sky is the limit!” Therefore I’m hoping, that those persons both from the public (Government) and private sector will pull together in making the changes needed as well as the right choices, for what is good for future generations of not only Cambodians… but for all the freedom loving people of the world. WARNING: Cambodia has a golden opportunity to show it’s friends, neighbors and enemies alike, just how free and progressive it can be! Please use the United States as your “model” for building General Aviation. Please DON’T choose the “easy” path by copying countries that weigh down and burden General Aviation with heavy taxation and a fee for services structure. You will only guarantee its failure. How many thousands of General Aviation aircraft are there in your neighboring countries? Need more proof? Ask any informed and aspiring “student” pilot from any country on the planet - "Where would you like to go to learn how to fly?" The answer will be of course: The U.S.A! Now before all my Thai, Chinese, Israeli, French, German, Swedish, Japanese, Australian, Kiwi, Italian, Canadian, British and Vietnamese friends take offense – just take a deep breath, count to ten and ask yourself, WHY IS IT that America is MOST desirable for General Aviation to flourish? COULD IT BE BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT DOESN’T TAX US TO DEATH? Thus, leaving opportunity for INVESTMENT & GROWTH? I will soon have more available time to get involved with others of a like mind, who would like to see a flourishing General Aviation program in Cambodia within the next five years. Maybe you (like me) still believe in the dream of aviation, and where those dreams can take you? The glorious freedom of the spirit and the pure Joy of Flight! Now let's all work together to make the dream of a CFC a reality! Please join and affiliate yourselves with the AOPA. Happy Landings! Capt. Archie Hall, FAA Certificated flight Instructor & CFC Supporter |
