| Comments: | Hello, I was vacationing in the Pickerel Lake area since before I was born! After marrying, my husband and I started our own tradition. We stayed at several lakeside resorts on Pickerel Lake, and Big Twin Lake. We would love to visit again, but are now unsure of locations and new names of the places we've stayed. The last one was Voras Resort, but has since been sold. Could you give me any new information as to who owns it now? Perhaps a phone number? |

My family owned a cabin in Pickerel - built by my grandfather - Clyde L. Bloedorn of Polar, WI. The cabin was on Flint Ridge Road between the Pickerel Point Resort and the Martini property (that we acquired after the fire). Does anyone have any information on the cabin? I have a place at East Shore Resort on Rollingstone. I have been coming to this area for 50 years. Now I am a board member of the Pickerel/Pearson ATV club, Now I am able to give some time back to this community, because I am semi-retired. I am working to create a ATV trail system that should bring more tourism to the area. The Trail would go from Augustine Springs To the Wolfs Den, then to Lost Lake Road, Then to Hills Still, the Gas Station, and Motor Service Marine, Then to Walleye Lodge, and then to East Shore Resort. Our club is making headway, we are working with the County Forester Steve Jackson, the DNR Gary Eddy, And private landowners seeking permission to cross their land. This should be one of the nicest trails in the state if things go the way I hope, and I am sure this will draw a lot of tourism. Our club is working hard to make this happen, We have sent 5 of our members to the DNR training to become ATV safety instructors and Trail patrol ambassadors. Need a little help. We are looking for a place that offers rustic, luxury,? if that makes any sense. (clean-clean, log cabin, fireplace, close to the water, no hills, etc. Or a private home or cottage, "on Pickerel Lake" or "Crane Lake", as long as we can get back and forth on water), for 4-5 days in June, 4-8, or 11-15 a 14ft boat and 10hp outboard. No pets, no kids just me and the wife. Smoking OK? We don't mind paying a "little more" for a quality place.
