| Comments: | I just wanted to leave you a message. I only came across your site because I am getting my son baptised on the weekend and was looking for a poem to put in the cards of the godmothers. When I saw your site it brought me to tears. Not only for your lose but also because of the name of your son. My son who is being baptised is also named Brayden and so I could not pass your site without reading your story. I am so very sorry for your loss and when you say that a mother and son's bond is so strong I couldn't agree with you more. I have a daughter who is the oldest and another son who is the middle child. Brayden is my last child. Everyday I say how much we enjoy him and I look at him and could not imagine life with out this precious boy. He has has a bit of everyone in him which makes him so much more special. He has my daughters hair and my son's smile and my eyes and my husbands feet. My heart breaks knowing that you will can not hold your child everyday. But you also amaze me at how strong you seem. I think your an inspiration. I hope the day never comes where I will feel that same hurt and sorrow you feel but if it so happens that it does...I thank you for making this site. Maybe I was meant to see this site and your son has sent this little angel to me......he was born in March of 2003.

| Comments: | I, too, watched a baby grow only to have him taken from me. My son, Cayden, was 6 1/2 months old and died in 1993. I have learned that as time goes on, it is easier to deal with. However, if you go a day without being sad about losing your child, you begin to feel guilty for not being sad as often.

It's been a really long time since I have been here. I don't have to tell you what has been going on, I am sure you know. As Auntie Meg told you, you now have a beautiful baby brother, Brennan Steven Karl. He looks so much like you. Your sisters are so helpful with him, just like they were with you. But, just because Brennan is here, doesn't mean that any of us forget about you. Breezy is still always wanting to send you balloons to play with and the other day she found a "beautiful" rock for me to bring to the cemetery for you. Bryttnee; well, she still doesn't say too much, but she prays for you every night in her prayers. As with all of us, you will forever be in her heart. It has been so long since I have written to you. It isn't that I haven't thought about you...cuz there isn't a day that goes by that you aren't in my thoughts and prayers. Some day, my little angel, we will be together. I'd like to say that I hope that it will be soon...but people here would probably think I am crazy. I saw the little boy that was born the day before you....he was running around, talking sentences...just so energetic. I immediately thought of you and how you must be testing God's patience, if you are anything like your sister Bree. You know peanut, you made such an impact in the four short months that you were here. Bree, who was barely two when you were born, talks about you every single day. She is still always trying to con people out of balloons so that she can send them up to you to play with. There isn't a selfish bone in her body when it comes to you. As for Brytt....could you kind of watch over her? She is having a hard time in school...some kids picking on her, etc., and she doesn't want to fight back. Perhaps you can play some of your impish games to help her out. Soon you will have a little sister or brother...we'll know which real soon. But this new baby will never replace you my peanut. Your face is still so fresh in my mind...as if it was yesterday instead of two years ago. Speaking of that new brother or sister....could you please watch over mommy too? She hasn't been feeling very well. I don't know if it is because she is missing you so much...or worrying...but she needs to know that its okay. Its been quite a while since I wrote to you last. At times it feels like you just left us yesterday and at other times it feels like years and years....in reality it has now been one year. The pain is still there, but there is happiness encompassing our lives as well. Mommy is starting to take care of herself...doing things to make herself happy. Your sisters, well they still miss you lots, but they are growing fast and doing new things all of the time...always with you in their hearts. Aunt Susie and Mitzi took Breezy to the mall on the anniversary of your death. Breezy kept asking for a balloon...over and over and over. Finally they found one for her and tried tying it to her hand so that it wouldn't get away, but she wouldn't let them. Secretly Mitzi held the string so it wouldn't escape. But, when they went outside Breezy started yelling for them to let go of the string....she let it go...up to you to play with. She does this all the time....her heart is with you so much....even the special balloons that Gramma Betsy gets her go straight up to heaven for you! I hope you enjoy playing with them. Some day soon my sweet pea we will be together....until then....I love you. |

And ask him about that giant? Did you sit with Moses and hear how the Children of Israel were defiant? Did you sit with the Mother of Jesus? Did she kiss your precious cheek? Did she wrap her arms around you and your name ... softly speak? Did you play in the Garden of Eden while the Angels watched you? Oh did you spend the day sending love as only you can do? Did you walk with St. Peter today and stand close at this feet? And be the one to say welcome saints and smile at those you'd greet? How was it up there in Heaven today? I can imagine what beauty you see. But all the while, you are missed down here. And ... oh I know you will always be. And, although you're with the Father in Heaven; We still miss the love in your eyes. And at night when the whole world is sleeping, Your family just lays awake & cries.
