I have been meaning to write to you for some months, but have not taken the time before now (I think because almost all of my spare computer time has been spent reading your stories). I first read what was available on X-Patrol, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. However, when I began Life from the Ashes for the first time, all I can say is I became an addict. This has to be the all time best piece of fan fiction I have ever read, and I have read a lot. The tale is so addictive and compelling that I have now started my third read through. My family began to complain during my first reading that I wasn't spending any time with them. I have a husband, three teenage children and a busy career, and yet every moment I could find I was back to the computer just to "read for a couple of more minutes" or so I told my family. Your imaginative, and well written tales are truly a wonderful escape for this busy mom and I wanted you to know how much pleasure they have given me. I know that you are currently busy with X-Patrol (read your blog), but I do hope that you will finish your North Woods & Liamterra, and Moving On series, as they both have me hanging. | Comments: | I have really enjoyed reading all of your fiction, esp. the North Woods/Liamterra series. I just have a couple of comments about the very end of Limaterra when Walter and Mulder go to Chicago. I'm a native of Chicago and I can't help but make a few suggestions to your portrayal of my fair city.
First, most major roads in Chicago are either called "expressways" or "tollways". "Turnpike", as far as I am aware, is more of an East Coast term. If Walter grew up in Chicago (I'm not sure if he did in your universe) then he would probably use one of the nicknames that the various roads have such as the "Kennedy", the "Tristate", the "Edens", or the "Dan Ryan". Second, there are two major zoos in Chicago one of which is called the "Lincoln Park Zoo". Lincoln Park is the neighborhood in which the zoo is located. Third, I can't help but give you the names of some of Chicago's finest restaurants; they include Ely's, Nick's Fishmarket, and The Italian Village. Thanks for such enjoyable reading! Hannah |

| Comments: | I love x-patrol. I had no idea you could top the ashes, liamterra, or north woods series but you did with this one. You took this story right out of my mind. When you had invading aliens I thought to myself what if they could morph into wolves and then you could combine each of my favorite tv show couples together (jim and blair/skinner and mulder) and their children would be a riot. Amazingly, I came across this new series from you and there it was. You are the best and it is sad to say but you seem to have my strange mind. I can't thank you enough for this series and I hope it lasts as long as your previous ones have.
I also noticed that there were a few errors in you story so I am volunteering myself if you need a proofreader. If not I will just enjoy what is absolutely outstanding fan fiction. |

I just read your 'Life From The Ashes' books in a marathon session that must have taken three and a half weeks. I only stopped when, you know, real life invaded. LOL I have read so much fan fiction that I thought all the original ideas had been used. WRONG! This series is just so good. It was like a book I just couldn't put down. Have to admit that I am not a huge 'torture' fan. Never have been, but this story was so good, it was easy to deal with it. Last of all: WOW! |
