All three acts will be touring together this summer on the Linkin Park-headlined ''Projekt Revolution'' tour, the musicians said at a joint Hollywood press conference on Thursday. ''This isn't the kind of tour that is branded 'This is a metal tour,''' Linkin Park's Chester Bennington said, noting that the band had toured with hip-hoppers Cypress Hill in the past. ''This is a tour where you get to see three headlining acts that know how to put on a great show and connect with the people and have the ability to connect with people who may not be there to see them.'' Snoop, who toured with Korn in the 1997 edition of Lollapalooza, said he was moving in a more rock direction anyway. ''I got me a band now, the Snoopadelics, who I've been rollin' with for the past year, and it's makin' me feel like I need to be a little more in that direction,'' he said. ''That's why I jumped on this tour faster than any rap tour that was offered to me.'' The tour will run from July 23 to Sept. 6, with dates, venues, and supporting acts to be named later. LINKIN PARK have set "Thousand Little Pieces" as the title of their new album, due this summer via Warner Music. The CD is being recorded in Los Angeles with producer Rick Rubin (RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS, BEASTIE BOYS and RUN-D.M.C.) Name of the album comes from title of James Frey's book, "A Million Little Pieces". Mike Shinoda, LINKIN PARK rapper, revealed some info about their new effort: "We wanted to do something different, go out of box. I think this title describes it all-- new way of working with material, new sound and lyrics. Now, when our fans are not yet familiar with new songs, they can't fully understand how this title links with it, but we hope they'll love it, as we all love it right now," said Shinoda. "We can't wait to let you guys hear this new stuff," he added. Last, but not least, Shinoda revealed 3 titles for new songs from about 16 that are scheduled for: "That Day", "Back To You" and "Scramble". He said, that they could be changed, so don't take it for 100% sure. Thousand Little Pieces will be the follow-up to 2003's "Meteora", which has sold more than 10 million copies. That's so weird though, cuz didn't Chaz get married to Sam when he was 20, and that's when I think Jaime was born. If this is true, do u think that Sam knew about the affair? Who knows, and like u said it could be all false. So don't fully believe on what I'm saying, k. He probably doesn't want us to know about Jaime, and that's why we haven't really heard about him. |

However there is never a way to keep all the trust one has and believe everything on the internet, so it could justbe something that was said. | Comments: | Mike's new info on the new LP album - "we've been working on new stuff for a few months at this point, and we have about 40-50 ideas. some of them are just little musical phrases, some are full blown songs with vocals. all are very exciting.
as many of you know, we'll be working with producer rick rubin on the next album. we were looking for someone with experience in diverse musical styles, whose music taste is as diverse as ours. seeing that rick has produced albums for groups like red hot chili peppers, slayer, beastie boys, neil diamond, jay-z, system of a down, and johnny cash, i think it's safe to say that he's pretty versatile. the other guys have put me in charge of production on our end, so you'll see that the production credit on the next record will read "rick rubin and mike shinoda." i have to thank the guys in a huge way for trusting me with this honor and challenge--we're going to make a great record. as for the sound of it, i think you will recognize our style and personality in the sound, but we definitely want to step outside the box and make something new and different. we have been challenging ourselves to do something that will keep all the things we/you like about linkin park, and then add new sounds and styles that you've never heard from us." |
