| Comments: | To answer some of the previous posters'?s, from what I've read (I need a life!), Mark's daughter's name is Ruby Beatrice Baker and she was born in Feb. 2002, which would make her about 19 months old. I think William Nelson Baker is Mark's Dad, but I don't know. I do recall reading his father died during production of PS. I don't know Mark, I'm just a big fan and this is just info I've gotten over the internet. Does anybody know what Mark is doing professionally after Frog and Toad? Or is it going to tour? Did anyone else see Mark's guest performance on LOCI? He was brilliant! He was robbed of an Emmy nomination. He should've gotten a Tony nom for Frog and Toad, for sure. He is certainly one of the most egregiously overlooked actors around. |

| Comments: | This show brings back so many memories. I used to watch it every Friday night on ABC @ 8:30pm (it used to be right after Full House and before Mr. Belvedere in the TGIF in-up). Thank you Nike @ Nite for putting one of my favorite shows back on the air ^_^ Also, when I was little, I never cared for Larry b/c I thought he treated Baulkie mean at times, but after ten years of not seeing the show, I've come to like Larry more than Baulkie. I loved how whenever Bualkie would do something stupid, Larry would get in his face and stare him straight into his eyes and say "Don't you ever...ever do that again!!" I also like the times where Larry and Baulkie would do the dance of joy, and at the end of the dance Larry would jump into Baulkie's arms. hee hee ^_^ |

| Comments: | I have had the scariest vision in recent past. I always felt that TV losers such as Larry Appleton and Joey Gladstone (Full House's very own Dave Coulier) should form a band. It cant be a very good music band, they can only play at small bar's near airports where many of the flight crew go for after hour cocktails. Larry can play the tambourine im assuming, and Dave Coulier can make the audience sick with his gross appearance and bad voice. We'll assume that Joey (Dave) will do lead vocals. These visions that I have had also in some form give me glimpses of other bandmates. I dont know, I guess we can make John Ritter the drummer, only he would not be able to have that foolish looking beard. He's gotta have that bloated 20 years after 3's Company look about him. We can always find someone who does bass because thats like the "Boring Guy" instrument. Well, I'll be back to update you on this glorious vision. Thank you and good health to all of me. |

| Comments: | I gotta say I caught some of the (finally) PS reruns on TV Land and it was fun to watch and relive the "glory days", if you will. I always admired the actors' work, so I tried to follow up on what they were doing after PS. There was a recent article in the St. Paul Pioneer Press touting Mark's new show "A Year with Frog and Toad", which although the show sounds cute, really made me want to gag and puke. Mark's wife, set designer Adrianne Lobel, talented as she is, comes off in the article as being egotistical and pretentious, saying she didn't want the show (based on her father's work) to be a "crummy basement production" ( I suppose she would consider all the community theatre productions I've either participated in or witnessed to be "crummy basement productions") She refers to Mark (endearingly, I guess) as her "toad", bragging about how she has him, how her daughter is on the road with her, blah, blah, blah and it just goes downhill from there. Mark doesn't come off well in the article, either. Talent aside, I think they work together and she talks about it too much. I hope she's not as obnoxious in person as she comes across in articles. I respect her talent, but... it made me never want to look at anything Mark-related ever again, not even PS, which used to be my fave and he used to be my fave actor! |

in hollywood, everyone mistook me for mark l baker, this was very frustrating because no one would hire me as an actor, every time I would catch a bus or walk the streets everyone would ask for an autograph thinking I was Larry,it got to the point of making me very upset..so on the advice of a friend in acting class. he said see if I can get into the studio(then Lorimar now sony)I got in and even the studio people thought I was Mark l Baker,someone even asked me why I walked in and what happend to my car...when I found the perfect strangers stage(26 if I remember right) the DA and set people misstook me for mark..untill one of the actors notice he was on the set blocking..this was my experience by in my acting days..even now 10 years later..someone will ask me was I on the show as larry...just can't get away from it..but now I'm kind of fat so no one has asked me..but i am on a diet when i lose this weight..they will start up again, I just can't get away from looking like Mark L Baker....wayne Stewart. |
