Merry Meet!
Im Star and Im from the North of England. Ive been following a Spiritual-Pagan pathway for many years now and would love to make some news friends to share the journey with. Id describe myself as an Eclectic Pagan but I welcome those from other paths as I have a thirst for knowledge and theres always something new to learn and discover. My more magical/spiritual interests include astrology, tarot & oracle cards, reincarnation, crystals, healing, meditation, faeries, angels, myths & legends (especially Celtic) mediumship, alternative health, exploring mystical and sacred places, Egyptology and runes to name but a few. Other greatest passions are art, books, visiting galleries and museums, castles, gothic films and architecture, travelling, music, animals, spending time in nature, watching sunrises and sunsets, expressing myself creatively and spending time by the sea which I am lucky enough to live close to. Hey everyone...
My name is Dusty , Im a middle aged female form the High Plains area. Im a bit shy, and tend to be on the quiet side.. though not as quiet as i use to be. Im becoming a bit more outspoken in my old age. Hello Everyone. I go by T to protect my identity as I work for an organization that would frown upon my pagan roots. I'd love to talk to people about anything, from everyday stuff to world affairs. The bonus would be that if you were Wiccan/Pagan too, it would be easier to talk as I have noticed a lot of people on other penpal sites have lives that are very church-oriented and I don't want to meet someone and have them get offended by my beliefs. Aside from work (which keeps me pretty busy!), I love to quilt, read, walk and cook. I have an 18 yr old daughter (not living with me) and a 15 yr old son (who has Asperger's Syndrome). Well, I am an eclectic Wiccan and an empath (Thanx Mom and Grandma). I live in Texas and there aren't many like minded people around. My family is Christian so I was not raised in the Craft but my parents are extremely open minded and actually read my books on Wicca and Paganism and have asked me for spells for rain for the cotton crops and teas for anything from headaches to insomnia. I guess I've always been a bit of an oddball and I can't say I ever really felt like I fitted in; and when I say this I don't really mean in the social sense but inwardly I felt lost spiritually... or something to that effect. I went through that 'dye your hair black' phase which I got over (to my mothers sheer delight!) but it wasn't my appearance that was the problem, I wasn't having a literal identity crisis but more a crisis of faith. In that I really didn't have one.
I'd been attracted to Paganism for a long time and it wasn't until recently that I decided to begin studying Wicca. I can safely say that this path has given/promises me much more than my previous beliefs -- if I can even call them that! I tended to be a bit flighty with religion prior to looking into Wicca because I studied philosophy. For many years I went (almost weekly) from Christian to agnostic verging on atheist (if I was in a particularly bad mood) . In particular giving up my cynicism is/was difficult... but I forbear! Hee. It's strange that something I loved learning about, 'religion' in general terms, was something that I equally found baffling and rather inaccessible. Having said that I'd always been interested in the Occult, spiritualism and ghosts etc. When I was 14 I stayed at my friends and I saw my first ghost; thankfully her mum taught me how to shield myself which has come in handy since. But anyway, several months ago I purchased a book on Natural Witchcraft, just to satisfy my own curiosity -- or at least that's what I told myself before I read it. I read the thing within a day and have not looked back since. I've seen discovering Paganism (et al.) described as 'coming home' which is definitely a phrase that I would attribute to my own experience. I'm Christian (thats ONLY my name) from Austria and i'm new to wicca. I always felt connected to nature and rejoiced in her beauty, i can feel the power, the harmony and the complexity, but i somehow do not have the correct key to really understand nature and come closer to her. I have been studying Wicca for the past 2 years now and feel that I have got the most I can out of books and feel it is all just a jumbled mess in my head. I long so much to cast my first circle, perform a ritual and cast a protection spell on a couple of items for myself, when I work magic in the future. I have been told that I need to be protected and as put me off performing with out said amulets??? I have studied Dianic Wicca but would like to learn about the history too. So I am looking for pen/email pal to be my teacher and also be my friend as I moved about 4 years ago and have been lonley ever since. I have my fiance but would also like friends too! Now I have made myself sound like a sado, thought I'd tell you more about me. I like to read and write, I've tried my hand at drawing which is also a work in progress.
