I too find nature inspiring but am no where near the arist you are. Nevertheless, many of my photos are now proudly displayed on our walls at home and my wife Pati's been urging me to consider selling some of these. As always, I find more joy in doing the work (hiking or research) vs chasing franklins! |

Thanks for letting me know you have new pictures up. The index page painting of the boat among icebergs is marvelous! A great moodiness and artful suggestion of temperature. I also like the Boca Raton work for being so evocative, suggesting so much with so little. Ron Colson barns also is charming but in a very different way, so carefully observed and subtle in color. I always enjoy looking at your work very much. Something in it loosens up my ways of looking. Happy New Year of Great Painting! Carol Lois Haywood |

Your daughter, Jill, introduced us to you web site. Your art work is so beautiful. My uncle, Warren Boucher, from Westerly, RI was also an artist until his passing away about 2 years ago. My uncle's portraits were always of the sea and I just wondered if by chance you might have known him? My two uncles also owned a restaurant in Westerly, called the Four Seasons. It was located on Route 1 in Westerly. It was a family affair restaurant and my uncle sold many of his portraits. I know the restaurant is no longer owned by my family, but I understand the memory of all our family lives on in the restaurant. |

Beautiful stuff. I love the reflection of your work. Any painting with a birch tree is a good painting and any painting with water is a good painting. That being said, one of my favorites in this collection is the shack. Go figure! Spent a week in Wyoming and Montana this past summer, and it reminds me of the horseback trails along the ridges and some of the shacks we ambled by. Hope to see you at the Wick. Jay |

My most sincere congratulations for your work I discovered while searching works by Marin Marie, an artist who stands in a pretty good position in my personal Pantheon of Marine Painters. I am currently living on the sea front close from Monte - Carlo where, unfortunately, the sea is never green. Too bad! I like your works and I have registered the first ship of John Paul Jones (y the way, did you know he lately served Catherine II in Russia?). My sincere wishes for an active year 2004 in term of new works. |

Mary and I (she's the gal in that prom picture you have stored away in parts uncertain, had our 50th anniversary this past June and our 5 kids had a great affair for us. We have just moved into a new home so we're just getting settled. Lots of pictures to hang but when we get them all up, I'd like to possibly include an "Annino". Mary enjoys watercoloring but refuses to let me frame any of her work. She enjoys it but is not at your level. If you have any price listings, I'd like to see one. In the meantime, my best to your gal in that prom picture which is still somewhere in our home.

Just a thought. Thanks, Mike Hess |

website and the unfolding of your paintings. You definitely have a feeling for the landscape scenes that seem to be your favorite choice of subject matter. I also enjoy painting the landscapes of my home state of Kansas. I love sky paintings and this is a good area to view all the amazing cloud formations. You also like to paint snow scenes, which I think you have accomplished very well. Thanks for letting me know about your website and the opportunity to view your beautiful painints. Happy Painting. Just checking in with you! Looks like things are going well. Hopefully with you, Marie, and the family. The boys are 7 and 5, very tall, and of course, handsome. Vicki is doing well. I love lighthouses. These are fantastic works of passion. Nobska has always been my favorite place to take the kids and climb on the rocks and hit the beach. Have a great rest of the summer. Yeah, I'm still at Foxboro/Seibe/Invensys/? Actually, work is quite good. Made it California and played Pebble Beach Golf Course, went to Sidney AU for a week and climbed down a huge waterfall, on to Singapore for a week of meetings and night safaris and Sentosa island fun, then to Tobago in the West Indies with the family for a vacation!!!!, then off to Houston for some beef, then recently went to Macon GA for work and some golf, and lastly we went camping up in Lincoln NH and had a run in with a 350 pound black bear which turned out to be easier to handle than the Water Country rides or the ones at Six Flags New England. Speaking of which, I spent a week in Great Yarmouth England training at a Pub of all places. Played a real links style golf course and enjoyed the eastern coast villages. See you sometime in Wickford. Jay |

| Comments: | Hi Ray! Been a long time since we've "browsed" your site.
What a wonderful pleasure to see the lighthouses - several of them not too far from Plymouth. Sure would like to own another Annino original - we have the watercolor of my Mom's house hanging in our living room and the barn watercolor in the family room. My Mom is selling her house in the near future, so that piece means even more now! We would love to hear from you or better yet have you and Marie take a ride to Plymouth - several antique places on the main street here that you might enjoy - and good seafood!!! Give us a ring and thanks for making your wonderful works available for all to see! |

| Comments: | I officially started swimming at the age of 4 (in organized
lessons.) However, as a toddler, I was known as "Caveman" for fearless and undaunted walking into ocean waves, despite being knocked down with every step. I still love to body surf with my Uncle Ray. By age 16, I had taken every sailing lesson Babylon Yacht Club had to offer. Needless to say, the "water" is in my blood. I LOVE every lighthouse scene and every one of your seascapes, especially because the ocean is so much a part of my life on Long Island. The only time I ever got seasick was in Buzzards Bay with the sails luffing; unfortunately, looking at any high structure or lighthouse did not restore calm to my stomach. Nothing could stop me from admiring your great watercolors. |

So nice to hear from you....and more importantly 'see' what you are up to! With Holly having just finished a book report on a 'lighthouse' story (patriot times) your watercolors brought an expanded view of lighthouses to us all! I expect your travels that accompanied these watercolor 'captures' were also quite enjoyable (and the antique shops that Marie found along the way!). Take care, Luv, Mary |

I've delayed so long in responding because I'm so tied up in scanning all those bios into my computer. Yours among them! Anyway, I want to say that you've captured the sparse -- you could even say bleak -- ruggedness of the New England coast. Nice going! I'll mention the update in the next Class Notes column in CCT. I hope you'll be at the reunion. Other 150-pounders I expect to attend are Al Schmitt, Jack Lipman and Jack Noonan. Best, Ma |

It was a real treat to find your website. I found myself lost in the memories of family and the inner calm that I always felt near the water. I just noticed that hanging on the wall next to me is a watercolor that your Uncle Ed did of mom in 1937. I have no clue as to where I was when they were passing out artistic talent in the Annino/Edwards gene pool.....I'm still trying to get a passing grade in stick- figure 101. Look forward to stopping back every now and then to see more of your work. Give my love to Marie. Love, Jim and Susan |

| Comments: | I would like to add my tribute to the humble genius that is
Ray Annino. I met Ray as a student in his course in analytical chemistry at Canisius College. The energy, enthusiasm, and excitement he portrayed in conveying the subject matter is the primary reason I too have decided to follow in his footsteps and go into academia myself. I would like to say that he is a living example of how one can be both artist and scientist and combine both the Dionysus and Apollo in his life's work. Thank you, Ray - for everything! |

I always enjoy checking in our your site, Lisa and I will definitely have to get an original one of these days. Along with the artwork, I especially enjoy the family comments -- stories of you and Aunt Marie, Uncle Bob, scenes from Long Island... things I was unaware of growing up in the midwest. Now living in Connecticut, near Long Island Sound, I understand the pull the sea has on you (maybe it's in the blood). Thank you for sharing those comments and images... more please. Love, Tom |

then you always knew that. Remember how we teased Bob about his oil painting attempts and his heavy hand? I especially love "The Meadows". It was so nostalgic to relive the aura that it captured. Bob and I called that place our "Everglades". I still miss him a bunch and all the space he filled in my life. Thanks. From, the Cape Cod Marathon bicyclist! |

I have admired your New England Birch Trees in Fall since 1960. The hints of "blue" in the background marsh and in the powerful sky brings me back to "The Meadows" reminding me how difficult it was to catch blue-clawed crabs (and, thanks for honoring the memory of my father at the same time.) I love the Long Island Scene--I can really feel the storm rolling across that south shore unbelievably fast. Your Watercolors are great! Love, Carol |
