Comments:I LOVED the home page watercolor print - what wonderful vibrant colors and your talent and producivity never cease to amaze me. I too find nature inspiring but am no where near the arist you are. Nevertheless, many of my photos are now proudly displayed on our walls at home and my wife Pati's been urging me to consider selling some of these. As always, I find more joy in doing the work (hiking or research) vs chasing franklins!

Comments:Ray,
Thanks for letting me know you have new pictures up. The index page painting of the boat among icebergs is marvelous! A great moodiness and artful suggestion of temperature. I also like the Boca Raton work for being so evocative, suggesting so much with so little. Ron Colson barns also is charming but in a very different way, so carefully observed and subtle in color.
I always enjoy looking at your work very much. Something in it loosens up my ways of looking.
Happy New Year of Great Painting!

Comments:Dear Mr. Annino,
Your daughter, Jill, introduced us to you web site. Your art work is so beautiful. My uncle, Warren Boucher, from Westerly, RI was also an artist until his passing away about 2 years ago. My uncle's portraits were always of the sea and I just wondered if by chance you might have known him? My two uncles also owned a restaurant in Westerly, called the Four Seasons. It was located on Route 1 in Westerly. It was a family affair restaurant and my uncle sold many of his portraits. I know the restaurant is no longer owned by my family, but I understand the memory of all our family lives on in the restaurant.

Beautiful stuff. I love the reflection of your work. Any painting with a birch tree is a good painting and any painting with water is a good painting. That being said, one of my favorites in this collection is the shack. Go figure! Spent a week in Wyoming and Montana this past summer, and it reminds me of the horseback trails along the ridges and some of the shacks we ambled by. Hope to see you at the Wick.

My most sincere congratulations for your work I discovered while searching works by Marin Marie, an artist who stands in a pretty good position in my personal Pantheon of Marine Painters. I am currently living on the sea front close from Monte - Carlo where, unfortunately, the sea is never green. Too bad!

I like your works and I have registered the first ship of John Paul Jones (y the way, did you know he lately served Catherine II in Russia?).

My sincere wishes for an active year 2004 in term of new works.

We moved to an active adult community (55 and over) with plenty of room and very little work required. We haven't hung all our art and family portraits after nearly a year here. But, your Yosemite water falls water color is proudly hanging over Mary' desk. I wish I could find something like that to do when I retire (Yeah, still at it. Going for the record of most decrepit professor on the staff here at Manhattan). Enjoy your work, I do.

Had dinner at a neighors and he was there as a friend of theirs. Small world. Keep up the good work - someday we might acquire another "Annino" for our home. Hope to see you soon. Best regards to Marie.

Mary and I (she's the gal in that prom picture you have stored away in parts uncertain, had our 50th anniversary this past June and our 5 kids had a great affair for us. We have just moved into a new home so we're just getting settled. Lots of pictures to hang but when we get them all up, I'd like to possibly include an "Annino". Mary enjoys watercoloring but refuses to let me frame any of her work. She enjoys it but is not at your level. If you have any price listings, I'd like to see one. In the meantime, my best to your gal in that prom picture which is still somewhere in our home.

Just checking in with you! Looks like things are going
well. Hopefully with you, Marie, and the family. The boys
are 7 and 5, very tall, and of course, handsome. Vicki is
doing well. I love lighthouses. These are fantastic works
of passion. Nobska has always been my favorite place to
take the kids and climb on the rocks and hit the beach.
Have a great rest of the summer. Yeah, I'm still at
Foxboro/Seibe/Invensys/? Actually, work is quite good.
Made it California and played Pebble Beach Golf Course,
went to Sidney AU for a week and climbed down a huge
waterfall, on to Singapore for a week of meetings and night
safaris and Sentosa island fun, then to Tobago in the West
Indies with the family for a vacation!!!!, then off to
Houston for some beef, then recently went to Macon GA for
work and some golf, and lastly we went camping up in
Lincoln NH and had a run in with a 350 pound black bear
which turned out to be easier to handle than the Water
Country rides or the ones at Six Flags New England.
Speaking of which, I spent a week in Great Yarmouth England
training at a Pub of all places. Played a real links style
golf course and enjoyed the eastern coast villages. See
you sometime in Wickford.

lessons.) However, as a toddler, I was known as "Caveman"
for fearless and undaunted walking into ocean waves,
despite being knocked down with every step. I still love to
body surf with my Uncle Ray. By age 16, I had taken every
sailing lesson Babylon Yacht Club had to offer. Needless to
say, the "water" is in my blood.
I LOVE every lighthouse scene and every one of your
seascapes, especially because the ocean is so much a part of
my life on Long Island.
The only time I ever got seasick was in Buzzards Bay with
the sails luffing; unfortunately, looking at any high
structure or lighthouse did not restore calm to my stomach.
Nothing could stop me from admiring your great
watercolors.

Ray Annino. I met Ray as a student in his course in

Comments:Ray,

Love the old apple tree! The scene and colors are so warm
and inviting. I think I like your landscapes the best. I
have no experience living by the sea, so those scenes don't
resonate as deeply.

Comments:Hi Ray, I'm so proud of you . And being very familiar with
your body of work ,This is only "the tip of the iceberg"!
Beautiful job . I love the one that I own of the fly
fisherman in the stream. Maybe you will exhibit that one
someday.
Love always,
Elaine

Comments:Dad,

I especially like the one of the clothes waiting to dry.
Also brought some tears to my eyes was the one in memory of
Uncle Bob. I miss him too.

Great work dad. You are truly one of a kind

I loved those pictures! Especially the sugar shack one and
the dark one of the Long Island shore. Beautiful!
