My (M) is white w/black splash. His tail stays down instead of being high and rounded. I was told this is caused by two problems--his last two feathers on each side of the fan are catching on his wing feathers and should be cut. Is it acceptable to do so? I was also told that this condition can be the result of having too high a ceiling in the flight pen? Another thing I am interested in is what is now acceptable on the feathered feet? Long vs. short feathers? I notice your birds have short feathers, mine are about 4in. long. I am also starting with a (M) red splash and his mate a red grizzled. They have their first youngster with pin feathers. Looks like it is all white at this point. Not an albino though, has dark eyes. |

What beautiful Indians you have! I raised Indians as a kid, about 35 years ago. School got in the way so I had to sell my birds. Recently I was able to buy 9 Indians from a gentleman that lives not far from me. I used to show my Indians and have won 2 blue ribbons with them at the Pagent of Pigeons in CA. After I made this purchase I was told that these birds are not the quality that are being shown now. I so have a bunch of questions about Indians today. Is there anyway that I can talk to or email you? I would very much like your opinion on the birds that I have now. They seem of good quality to me but I would really valure your opinion. I have all the pigeons in the world in a CD. U can't find so many breeds anywhere, not even at shows, and books. I have more than 42,000 pictures in that CD. The number of the pictures changes everyday, it gets bigger and bigger. In the CD there is 2897 pictures of lofts (INDIVIDUALS + Kit Boxes) (they don't tell u how to make the loft, but they do show picture of the inside of the loft and outsite). 1603 pictures without the name of the breed because they r from foreign countries. And the rest of the pictures have the name of the breed. I have 343 short pigeon videos in the CD (the longest video is 8 minutes). The pictures are in color and the videos. Just posting a warning for your guest book readers not to send money to that Elvi person trying to sell CDs of pirated images without permission or authorization. Beware, he is probably using yours too. About the only way to deter thieves like this is to put the words "sample" or "copyright" on each of the images you have on your site, he can't use them this way. I will be doing same to the images on my site as soon as I can and before adding anymore. He won't dare try this at a pigeon show as he knows a lot of people are looking for him. Pathetic.
