| Comments: | I have had two 350 YPVSs the first was stolen in the UK and set fire to, the second I had in Ibiza which I sold. The only reason for selling was the roads here are crap. Best bike ever for fun.This site is one of the best things I have found.

I currently have the opportunity to get my hands on a 1988 FZR750 complete front end (wheel, forks, triples, speedo, clip-ons, rotors, brakes). Is this an easy MOD onto my 1984 RZV500R? I have always wanted to get more rubber on the front and rear ends of my bike. I am looking for good improvement in handling but also minimal modding so I can actually finish the work and be riding again. Thanks! -Mike |

I live in Australia now and have almost (95%) finished a restoration on a 1975 Yamaha DT400B enduro. I have been in Oz nearly two years now. I used to have a Yam RD500 plus i have had a Suzuki RG500 which is the only bike i ever bought brand new. I have had a RD400F which was absolutely great fun! I was 20 at the time and in my element on that one. I have also owned a Kawasaki Z1100R Lawson Rep, and while i aknowledge its a biggie 4stroke, i loved it! I loved the look and lines of those bikes especially with a few subtle mods to it. I love the ol' two strokes though. I have such great memories of all my bikes........ Im looking forward to riding the DT400 and that will be loads of fun! I am looking out for a together but project 500LC here in Oz and i will one day. Have seen a couple but one was horrendously overpriced and the other was sold before i found it advertised. Look after those bikes you guys around the world...... they are amazing and will fill you with a lifetime of memories........... Best regards, Mark. |

I own a 1973 Yamaha RD350, I bought the bike 4 years ago it is in great condition. I am on the process of redoing the carborators over and ordering a new y-tube and a new battery, maybe even new shocks, I really like to keep it old school style. When I bought it, I roasted a guy who owned a 750 kawa, he could not believe it! I told him yes beware of the giant killer!!!..lol..2 thumbs up for the 2 strokes!!! |

| Comments: | Great site I in me 40s and could only dream of buying a 500 lc when I was tweenty. Well I've just got one and plan to bring it back to it original condition.
Its the RZ with the alloy frame so this site and the web will be a great help. I raced lots of bikes when I was younger 350 power valves, FZR600 rgv250 gsxr 750s but the RD500 was the bike I always wanted as a road bike not for speed but just the look of it and the fact it was the original V4 2 stroke. Desgraciadamente no corren mas las 2 Tiempos, sin duda es el mejor motor que pueda existir. Las R D han hecho una gran marca en la historia del Motociclismo Mundial, cambiaron la hisoria y la manera de ver y de correr en moto, muchos pilotos no podian dominar tanta potencia entregada de golpe y solo uno pudo y les enseñó a los demás, el señór Eddie Lawson, despues lo siguieron: John Kocinski, Kenny Roberts, Max Biaggi, y tantos otros mas. Te felicito por tan buena página y tan completa. |

Excellent site you have - I found it when trying to find some info about Yammy r1-z bikes. I bought one on ebay last august and have been riding it around since then. Great bike, but now I want to modify it a wee bit, and thought I'd ask you a few questions before diving in. I was wondering, how much longer is the new swingarm you are putting on? it looks longer than the standard one. I was thinking of going for an RS250 swing arm on mine, and some rs250 or ZX4r forks.
